Going To JCK Jewelry & Watch Show In Las Vegas
I'd like to think that JCK is sort of like an American? Baselworld. It isn't, but it is a pretty good step in that direction. While combined with jewelry, JCK attracts a large number of watch brands and I will be attending it this year as a member of the press. This will be my first time going to such an event, so I will take my camera and trust me that I have some good meetings lined up. I might just possibly use up the full 12 gigs of memory card space I have on images over the next few days. There are two elements to the show. First are the expo halls where lots of the brands hang out showing of watches and talking about their products, and then there is all the private meetings and exhibits. Like I said, I have a fair number of appointments, so I should back with a nice haul full of juicy information images. You can visit the exhibitor directory at JCK's website. There are a lot of important brands, distributors, and watch brand group companies. If there are any specific brands you
Forged Carbon vs Offshore Chronograph Diver
Given the choice between the forged carbon 44mm against the yellow Offshore Chrono Diver, which would you guys pick? Bear in mind this will be a companion to a 41mm blue dial royal oak. I'm stuck in between as the forged carbon is a completely different material and look from the 15400. However, the yellow Offshore Chrono Diver is way sportier and is of a very unique color. Which would you choose?? Any opinions would be nice. I'm leaning more towards the forged carbon, but the limited edition of 375 is pulling its weight in my decision making.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RO Jumbo 15202 - wearability on smaller wrists?
Hi guys,Have had the 15202 on my grail list for the longest time and thought it would be a great addition to my Panda ROO.. I have also heard many times how it would be a better fit for me than the ROO due to my small wrist size (6 inches)..Was thus pretty excited to try it on at the boutique when I found out they had a piece there available.. Was however disappointed to find that the bracelet at the lugs were really stiff, and due to the construction of the lugs splaying outwards there was a pretty noticable gap between my wrist and the lugs even when I pinched the bracelet downwards to mimic it being sized properly..For my ROO I was able to circumvent the problem by changing to a rubber or a shorter strap.. But I understand there is no such option for the Jumbo..Any fellow small wristed owners of the Jumbo with the same problem? Is there any way to overcome it since sizing it will probably not solve the lug stiffness issue.. Otherwise I probably will have to remove it from my wristli
Incoming!!!!!! My 2nd Patek !!!!
Thanks to all the enablers and eyeing this watch on TRF (and even trying one on at the GTG) I now own my 2nd Patek! I was just making a routine call/ check in to my local AD to see if he had gotten this watch in (it's never in stock) and low and behold, one had arrived this afternoon. I hurried down to the dealer and tried it on. I was planning on waiting until the fall or Christmas to purchase, but once it was on my wrist there was no way I could leave without it.
