Video: WatchTime Talks Racecars and Watches with Lamborghini’s CEO
Last week, WatchTime attended the “global dynamic launch” of the Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador Roadster in Miami as a guest of Blancpain, which partnered with Lamborghini in 2009 to establish the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo single-make race series. While there, we had the opportunity to speak with Lamborghini CEO Stephen Winkelmann, who answered questions about the new car and the future of the Blancpain partnership.Click below to watch our interview with Lamborghini president and CEO Stephen Winkelmann. Hands-On: The MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual Calendar, And Why It Matters To Anyone Interested In Watches
The Legacy Machine Perpetual Calendar was the very first true high complication from MB&F, which seems very difficult to believe at first, because the impression one has of the company, and its watches, is exactly the one of exclusivity and ingenuity that you ordinarily associate with the traditional high complications. The perpetual calendar in the Legacy Machine Perpetual is like every other perpetual calendar ever made in that it allows the watch to correctly show the date, whether or not the month in question has 31, 30, 29, or 28 days in it. How it does what it does isn’t arbitrary, either – it’s an essential part of the fantastic aesthetics of the watch. To understand how the Legacy Machine Perpetual can look the way it does, you need to understand what a perpetual calendar is, how it works, and how the Legacy Machine takes the basic principles of a traditional perpetual calendar and modifies them in order to allow it to look like no other perpetual calendar

Speedie - 4 yrs or 35 yrs old?
Hey all, i recently purchased a 2003 Speedie Pro which arrived yesterday, however to my dismay the condition was not as described bhy the seller (came covered in scratches, looked to be a daily beater on a building site. I contacted the seller and will be getting a full refund so whilst licking my wounds yesterday i began searching for a replacement and have been offered the following:Old:Year: 1976 (birth year)Model: 145.022Cal: 861Bracelet: 1171Condition: A1, just been serviced and is in perfect conditionAdditions: boxed but no papersNew:Year: 2007Model: 3570.50Cal: 1861Bracelet: 1998Condition: Excellent, some marks on claspAdditions: boxed with papersGiven the choice, which would other members go for? Both are priced roughly the same, is the fact the older one is a birth year makes it too hard to resist or should i place safe and go for the recent example with added papers?Any input is greatly appreciated.
