HourTime Show Podcast Episode 10 - The "Before SIHH 2010" Episode
John and I, this time sitting side-by-side, discuss an array of new and interesting watches. Next week, I will be out of town at SIHH 2010, but weeks after that will be rich with content from the show!We talk about pick-up artists and how watches are used in that artistry. A Franck Muller $2.7 million watch, currently the world's most complicated watch. We talk about a minimalist chronograph and Tokyo Flash. Ariel likes a new Jean-Baptiste Viot and we discuss, along with Thomas Prescher's new Tempusvivendi Qatar Watch.MB&F's new HM2 Sapphire Vision.Listen to the Hour Time Show podcast Episode 10 here.
Erroyl E30 Heritage Review
In the sub $500 price range, there are plenty of sport watches, tool watches, pilots watches, etc While these might be the watches we typically wear, and cover on w&w, every collection, nay every person, needs at least one dress or formal watch to wear. Whether your personal style just leans more towards the formal, you need to dress conservatively for work, or you need the right watch to match to your suit for the odd wedding: it's unavoidable.Well, Australian newcomer Erroyl seeks to change this with their first series of watches, the E30 Heritage line. Designed to be as handsome as it is affordable, the E30 features sapphire crystals, a Miyota 9015 and a price point of only $283. This makes the E30 an interesting offering as it's not only one of the few mechanical dress/casual pieces under $500, it's one of the least expensive watches to be powered by the 9015. The question is, is it worth it's modest price tag?Erroyl E3 Heritage ReviewCase: PolishedMovement: Miyota 9015Dial: S
The 15300 - Size?
I'm thinking about upgrading my 36mm Royal Oak to the 39mm 15300.But I'm not sure about the size! And the only AD in town just recently stopped selling AP, so there is no possibility to try one.My wrist size is about 6,5 inches..And I should mention that I'm not a big fan of huge watches... The 40mm Rolex sports watches fit me perfectly...What do you guys think? Is it too big?
Year of this Seamaster?
Hello,I've been looking for a birth-year watch and noticed this Omega which seems to look nice.It looks genuine I guess, any thoughts? The seller says it's from 1979. Does anyone here agree??Just want to be sure, and value any opinions. Thanks
It's not new, it's not old, it's something in between
It's a Watchco SM300! Actually not Watchco proper, because I built it myself. I had a 565 calibre in a completely buggered Geneve; the movement was good, but the case and dial were beyond repair. So a quick order of parts and a trip to my watchmaker later, I have a shiny new SM300. Sure it is a franken, but I love it. It's gotten a lot of attention at work too (I work in the watch industry).
