Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater Watch
2015 sees the release of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater watch. Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most revered names in watchmaking and is fondly referred to as La Grande Maison, which can be loosely translated as The Great Manufacture. In its rich 182-year history, the company has created over a thousand calibers, registered 400 or so patents and has numerous inventions credited to its name. And for the most part of the past century, it even provided movement blanks to Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Vacheron Constantin. The caliber 920 is a great example of this and is still used even today by Audemars Piguet in Reference 15202 Extra-thin Royal Oak, also known as the Jumbo. It is also one of the few manufactures that is well versed in all horological complications. Its new-for-2015 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication (hands-on here), which features a flying orbital tourbillon, indication of sidereal time, and minute repeater,
In time for the summer!
When the 2014 new offshores were announced, I was feeling kinda blah about it... I thought it was pretty minimal enhancements and thought I would probably give it a miss. Like many, I was expecting something with a ceramic bezel in the redesigned 42mm, kinda like the special Doha edition (v sweet!!!!)Fast fwd to beginning of April when they were launched. I got to view and try each one on (except for the white diver and new 44's). Same feeling, not impressed. I only thought the new blue dial with orange hands looked kinda sharp and sporty but still didn't really do much for me... It reminded me of the ROC blue and orange that came out a few years back but nothing more. However, little did I know that my subconscious was thinking the opposite. Long story short, I went back to the AD this past Monday to have a look at the new navy again. Well the rest is history! (darn you subconscious). Anyways, in time for the summer with this sporty new one! Trust me, it builds on you each
My First Omega Speedmaster - Soyuz / Speediorite or Alaska Project?
Hi All,This is my first post and I'm relatively new to the forums (though I have been on here reading all the wonderful information that members post). Up until this year I have mostly appreciated nuce watches but never had the itch to purchase any. My everyday wear watch was a Swatch Bunnysutra STGK101 and it had a good run but then the watch bug bit. My first purchase towards the beginning of this year was the Omega James Bond LE Sea Master - 212.30.41.20.01.001 (full set with complete box and papers). Loved this watch as a daily wearer but then I thought to myself I need something for more formal occasions so next I picked up 2 Omega Aqua Terra's (1 black dial and 1 white dial - The AD was very convincing). Then while lurking on the forums here I came across the Omega Planet Ocean LiquidMetal Limited Edition - 222.30.42.20.01.001 and managed to purchase a complete boxed set. As most of you can tell by now, I love Omega's and I feel that my little Omega collection would not be comple
Obsession??????
Well guys this is the second time that I make a question about this strange star like form hallmark in my Seamaster, thanks to JJ & Delldeaton who kindly reply to my post & PM. Anyways, for me is a very interesting mark. Ive been guessing that maybe if this is the only one with this mark its make a one of the kind watch, I dont think that this is a non factory hallmark because is to centralize and it looks the same size and deep as the serial # on the watch. I wonder if you guys could check your watches, just to see if they have something similar. I also send some e-mails to Omega but they dont answer, I imagine how much e-mails they receive daily asking stupid questions. Anyone of you know what can I do to investigate about this?? who and where to call?? I honestly dont know where to start. I just keep wondering, do I have an obsession with this mark, or I have a point here???The serial # of my watch is 60174674, I think could be from 1998 or earlier. Just in case if someone h

Hey y'all! Looking at this listing on eBay. What's your take authentic? I've been messaging buyer and he wants to sell to me at a really low cost. I'm well aware of PayPal scams so please do not lecture me on that! Thank youhttps://rover.ebay/rover/0/0/0?m...2F112752917856
