Al Pacino Receives the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award at Venice Film Festival
Al Pacino is the recipient of the Jaeger-Le Coultre Glory to the Filmmaker 2011 Award, a prize of the Venice International Film Festival dedicated to an artist who has left an original mark on contemporary cinema. The prize has previously been awarded to some of the greatest figures in film including: Takeshi Kitano (2007), Abbas Kiarostami (2008), Agn��s Varda (2008), Sylvester Stallone (2009) and Mani Ratnam (2010). The awards ceremony took place on Sunday September 4th during the 68th Venice International Film Festival. Festival Director Marco Mueller described Pacino as An amazing director, whose experience is precious and original, and enriches the world of contemporary film. The award ceremony preceded the world premiere of Pacino's third feature-length directorial picture, Wilde Salome. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS event...
I was fortunate enough to attend AP's latest charity event benefiting Broadway Cares/EFA, which was hosted by the current cast of the hit musical Jersey Boys, and let me tell you, the evening was nothing short of a revelation.Never mind that I got to see old friends like Al Armstrong (his own best customer) as well as chat with newly-minted AP CEO, Francois Bennahmias, the music was the focus of the evening. News flash: these guys can sing, and what's more, they're all perfect gentlemen who remain humble on the face-of their considerable vocal gifts.(yes, the camera on my HTC EVO leaves much to be desired...)It must be said here that at no point in the evening was Francois more animated or genuinely excited then when he was speaking about the charity and his commitment to keeping this partnership going throughout his tenure. This man believes 100% in giving back to the community, and it shows. He made me proud to be an AP owner twice over, and I look forward to the day when I can add

Is the PO LM ltd edn worth the money of a PO 8500?
I've rekindled my interest in the Planet Ocean. From what I've seen the PO 8500 is a gorgeous watch but wears too tall. The Liquidmetal limited edition looks stunning as well but appears to be in the market at the same price despite it running the older 2500C cal. Is the Liquidmetal worth the cash?

DJ 41 vs DJ II
I had tried both models on long before I purchased a 41 but was wondering why Rolex decided to dump the II for the 41 ? The hour makers on the II dial seem bigger than on the 41 which I like ,, what other differences are there between the two. The 41 rides the wrist much better than the II IMHO...
