Hands-On: The Laurent Ferrier Galet Square And Traveller Bore?al With Luminous Sector Dials
Laurent Ferrier, now five years old, has been making spectacular movements from the get go. But, it may have taken them a while to figure out exactly where they want to live in the marketplace, and how they want to attract consumers. This year, at SIHH 2016, I think it's safe to say, they've figured it out. The combination appears to be insanely high-end and interesting movements, in beautiful, but often stainless steel cases, with a host of dial options, occasionally focusing on vintage themes. The new Galet Square Bore?al and Galet Traveller Bore?al emphasize this clearly, and the look is fantastic. 1 OF 4 What you see above is the existing steel LF Galet Square. But this new model, called Boreal, features what we know as a sector dial. But this isn't a printed sector dial, the sector and hands are filled with bright superluminova, that glows strongly at night. The dial itself is black with satin brushing and a snailed sub-seconds. The signature is in a deep
Houston "the Omega has landed"!! 45th Anniversary SpeedMaster Pro
Well it's finally here. I placed an order for this a while ago and yesterday I got the call.It is a stunning watch (my pictures do not do it justice) the colours are beautiful. It is very light on the wrist (as you would expect being largely Titanium)The dial lettering and minute markers stand out from the dial and in certain lights, glisten. A result of the laser cutting process. The box is huge, very heavy. Matt black with a slight rubberised feel to the touch. The pink gold plated hinges are a nice detail as is the lunar backdrop inside the lid which is really cool. The certificate is a nice touch with silver leaf edging. The only thing which (for me) detracts from the watch is the strap. Its far too long for a normal wrist and has to be doubled back on itself. It causes the strap to look odd sticking out to one side of the wrist. As nice as it is this watch cries out for a leather strap or better a Titanium bracelet.Enjoy the pictures

5711/1R vs DD40
Does the PP wears bigger than the DD40? I certainly feel the 5711 is bigger. I have small wrist. I am thinking of adding a dd4o (60th anniversary green). Love to hear your thoughts on this! .. Jen
incoming 116520
After many months of hunting, I finally found a 116520 black dial, 2016, NOS but most of the stickers were taken out.I got it for 12k from a UK watch trader, it is the very last of the steel bezel produced. Some may say I am crazy for buying a Daytona at that price, but it is the only way to get one in UK.With a couple of K more I could have purchased a ceramic one, from a grey market shop of course as they is no way I could get one from an AD.hope I did the right choice. . .
