Chronoswiss Wristmaster CH 2703 Watch Available On James List
I knew this watch existed for a while but seeing in the flesh solidified the feeling that yes, this is of the most (if not the most) steampunk timepieces in existence - and here I get to put it on. I believe it came out in 2008. Plus, unlike stuff from Cabestan and Vianney Halter, this Chronoswiss is not going to cost in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars for a cool timepiece. The watch is the Wristmaster CH 2703. It is two timepieces placed next to each other, and mimics the look of dashboard instruments from classic cars and planes. The CH 2703 is the full set, while the individual pieces are the CH 2803 for the watch, and CH 7503 for the stopwatch. The steel watches are on a steel plate attached to the double strap system. The watch is a full 84mm wide by 42mm tall, and 20mm thick. Yea, it is wearable - but on your forearm more than your wrist. Quality is good and typical of German Chronoswiss. I did strap it on, and it looks neat - not everyday wear neat, but certain neat.
Omega spring bars question
Kinda a strange question, but does speedmaster bracelet and seamaster bracelet use the same 20mm spring bars?
Another 5711 Blue Dial Available
Got a call today from OC Tanner Jewelers in Salt Lake City and they just yesterday got in a brand new 5711 blue dial which I had put my name on the list for back in October. As I mentioned in my previous 5711 post, I'm getting one from my local dealer (coming this week!) so I'm passing on this one as well. But, if anyone here is interested, call and ask to speak with Salvo. I was first on the list but he said there are others after me so hurry if you want one now! Again, no affiliation with the dealer, just passing along the info on this not-as-rare-as-you-think model ;)
My kind of tool watch
Legible, simple and time-less.
a bit concerned ...
Bought a Milgauss White Dial in an online auction yesterday. I was handed the watch which was a brand new 116400 V series from Client 548 (Israel). Under the Warranty card, it says it's from Eurasia LTd. Which is an authorized dealer in Israel. He went up with me to the RSC and had the watch checked up. Unfortunately since I took it to the RSC in Hong Kong, they said they needed another two weeks to verify the serial code since it was not 888. Well, I hope there aren't any problems. I mean they did take it behind closed doors and took half an hour in there. I wonder if that was the preliminary check up. The watch was brought back and said I needed to wait another 2 weeks. If there were problems with its authenticity, they would have told me straight away right? Also, I hope there are no legal issues with the watch either... being stolen or something like that. The watch was just brand new with all the stickers on the glass, the bracelets and even the black code on the left side of the ca
