Jaquet Droz Launches New Website
On November 25, Jaquet Droz launched its new digital world. Navigation links launch visitors on travels around, over and into a sepia-toned Tim Burtonesque microcosm. Visitors can travel to La Chaux-de-Fonds, Geneva, London and Paris, retracing Jaquet Droz’s steps. Underground lie the roots of the manufacture, including aesthetic traditions and history. Once airborne, the traveler heads to Saturn’s rings for the latest news. The Moon is home to the catalog, and the Sun shines on the nearest points of sale. Konstantin Chaykin Lunokhod Watch
Is "Konstantin Chaykin" like the dark version of "Vacheron Constantin?" At very least the name sounds like the Russian version but then again "Konstantin Chaykin is a Russian name. While most of his work is in the clock category, Konstantin Chaykin now debuts a fascinating timepiece that he called the Lunokhod. The watch focuses on its novel moon phase indicator, and has a really interesting design that seems to fit with the brand's motto "religion of time" (sounds creepy, I know).Konstantin Chaykin is a very accomplished watchmaker and is a member of the AHCI (where all the coolest indy watch makers want to be!). The name means "moon walker" and it is his homage to Michael Jackson. No, that's a joke. It refers to a Russian un-manned lunar lander that went to the moon in 1970. It also happens to look a bit like Jules Verne sci-f

Very impressed with the Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial and Orbis Constellation
I have been playing with the idea of getting his and her watches as a wedding present to my fiance and me. On a side note, I'm a sucker for blue and had never seen the blue Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial on the metal. So this last weekend I paid a visit to the local Omega boutique and took a look at the watch, as well as at a Constellation Orbis, which is a watch I have showed her in the past and she thought was beautiful.I'm super impressed with the AT. The dark metallic blue Omega used, alongside the super cool anti-magnetic movement >15.000 gauss (with a saphire back!), and the fact they they pulled it off with a case that is 13mm thick made the watch very tempting. Up until now, I had thought most new watches from Omega had amazing calibers but were too thick, and they finally managed to get around that on this AT. The Constellation is still very thick for the size (27mm), but the dial is just gorgeous. Finally, as a personal observation, I'm a sports watch guy, as much as I may hav
