Basel Preview: Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 2
In 2009 Harry Winston launched Histoire de Tourbillon collection. This year, for its second edition, the House launches an exclusive new timepiece with a bi-axial flying tourbillon in a 20-piece limited series. The monumental case features eight sapphire crystals housed in a 48.5mm white gold structure. The tourbillon has no upper bridge and is supported only from the side of the case such that the point of fixation is invisible, creating a floating effect. Look for wallpaper inside. The the bi-axial flying tourbillon combines two concentric carriages – the outer formed from titanium – and gains added precision by enabling the regulating organ to perform multidimensional rotations. The striking visual effect is created by an outer carriage completing one full turn in 120 seconds and housing an internal carriage C holding the balance, balance-spring and escapement C that revolves in just 40 seconds. The case effectively compartmentalizes the timekeeping functions. Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Watch Sets New Record For Slimness
For SIHH 2015, Piaget will unveil a new ultra-thin flyback chronograph, further helping them to round out their range of "world's thinnest" watches. The Piaget Altiplano Chronograph is not only very beautiful, but it finally adds another chronograph-based model to Piaget's slim men's collection. Until now, if you wanted a Piaget Chronograph you needed to get a Polo Chronograph or a Gouverner Chronograph?C two decidedly niche designs, without as much mainstream appeal as something more classic, such as this. With the new Altiplano Chronograph, Piaget is able to combine the elegance of their famous dress watch with the appeal of a sporty chronograph C all in a very slim package.Piaget claims to make "double records" with the Altiplano Chronograph. First is the world's thinnest (manually wound) mechanical flyback chronograph movement, with the in-house made Piaget caliber 883P that is just 4.65mm thick. Second is the world's thinnest flyback chronograph movement based watch case, as the P
Private sellers offering warranty cards signed by AD without date filled in
Questions for the forum...I'm looking to purchase one of the Omega PO ceramic bezel NIB watches from the sales forum. There seem to be several sellers offering NIB watches with warranty cards with AD stamps, however the date isn't filled in, and the sellers have disclaimers they're not affiliated with Omega--they're just private sellers.1) How do these sellers obtain watches without the date filled in? Why are there so many people offering NIB Omega watches without being affiated with Omega?2) If I just filled in the date on the card using the date I purchase the watch, would Omega actually offer a 4 year warranty? Or is there something Omega uses to determine the exact date this watch was sold by the AD (perhaps by looking up the serial #)?Thanks in advance

PP 5970J or Rolex PN 6239 Panda
I may have the opportunity to trade my 5970 for a super mint 6239 PN Panda. I love the 5970 and consider it close to perfect but it never gets wrist time. I am afraid of scratching or dinging it. I also have preferred bracelet watches to straps. Down the road the 5970 may be worth a lot as they didn't make many J's. Is this a crazy trade?
