Dangerously Deep Dwelling Sinn UX Diving Watch Available
Do you recall the diving suits in the movie Abyss? The James Cameron directed classic depicted ultra-deep divers who used "liquid oxygen" filled suits to help with pressurization. Apparently, the characters in the movie could breath with the liquid oxygen. That was pretty cool, but the message was clear, air filled spaces are not ideal for deep water pressures. An air or other gas filled watch is going to implode under enough pressure. However, a watch filled with liquid won't have the same forces to deal with. This is the principle behind the Sinn UX Diving watch. The UX is not filled with water, but rather a special oil.The effect is actually quite cool. The watch face has a flat look to it. As though the dial, hands, and crystal are on one plane. It further allows for excellent visibility from any angle. Which is a nice added benefit. You might be wondering just how deep the Sinn UX can dive? How do you feel about "unlimited depth?" Because that is pretty much what you can except. R
Safari on bracelet picture request
Hi guys. I recently joined the forum and let me first of all say what a great place this is!I have been a long time admirer of Audemars Piguet but haven't looked seriously at adding one to my collection (mainly Rolexes) until joining the forum and learning more about AP and seeing all the beautiful offshores you guys have. Not looking to buy for a few months as only just decided to get an AP and want to spend some time thinkng over what to get. I'm wanting to get something that looks equally good on bracelet and strap. Currently thinking Safari as I love it on the brown strap but haven't seen any pictures on a bracelet. Have any of you put your Safari on a bracelet and if so would you mind posting some pictures so I can see how it looks. ThanksRuss
Which dial do I need to source before servicing?
I'm about to bring this in for service and figured I might as well get a proper dial replace done at the same time. To my knowledge, the current dial is original to the watch but previous owner pulled a dunce move and had it relumed (a shoddy job in my opinion) and I'd like to get this back to near(er) original condition. Either way, I'm hoping to source an appropriate dial before I drop it off. Could you all guide me in deciding which dial to pick?
PAM buckle or clasp?
Hi PAM people!I have a PAM 328 now mounted on a OEM brown aligator strap. I dont mind changing strap, but sometimes to change de buckle can be a pain.I am thinking to buy a new buckle, or a couple. Now the questions, for the OEM straps, can I put a deployant clasp on it? I know some others are thicker. If so, do you recommend it to avoid punishing the strap less? And if so, which one to get? The PAM one is quie expensive, any good ones?If you recommend the buckle, where can I get it? Best,Guillermo
Is my AD full of it?
Hi folks. I have unfortunately not been able to be active here for a while. Back in 2016, I searched high and low for an AD that would negotiate substantially. I finally found one, bought my first Rolex, and have been referring many family, friends, and Forum members to them with great success. Fast forward to yesterday, I contacted the owner with a request for a friend, and below was his reply - which is totally out of character. My question is if there is any truth to his response, or is he full of it, like the typical Rolex AD is?All Rolex's on serious backorder and allocation. Especially models like the Sky Dweller's. Im afraid the days of any substantial discounts, even for good customers, is over.
