The IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar debuted this year at the SIHH, as one of the most talked-about introductions from IWC. It’s essentially a variation on the Portuguese Automatic, which launched as the reference 5001 in 2004 but which was preceded by the limited edition Portuguese Automatic 2000, which housed the now-legendary IWC caliber 5000, the forefather of an entire family of movements in the Portuguese/Portugieser line of watches. (The Portuguese Automatic 2000 was available – in the year 2000, natch – in three metals – red gold, steel, and platinum – and you could buy all three as a boxed set the year they came out, for about $45,000.) Is the 15202 a Quick-Set???
I know this sounds like a random weird question coming from me being the big AP owner and fan I am. This morning thinking about the major overhaul being conducted on my 5402 in Le Brassus I asked myself whether the cal. 2121 on the 15202 is now a quick-set or if it still remains like on mine with the quick advance feature between midnight and 2am only. 15202 owners please chime in!!! Incoming Speedy Pro!
Had one a few years back and always regretted letting it go. I don't flip watches anymore, I just try to buy the right watch. I wanted to repurchase this iconic Speedy for at least a year and finally pulled the trigger after coming into some extra funds. I picked this up a few days ago thanks to a great transaction with our own DavidSW.I love the looks of this watch and its perfect for my casual style, yet also goes with anything except maybe a tux. I am looking for strap choices now. I do have an Omega black, perforated racing strap around here that I can't find, but I want to know what other strap choices I can go with. I prefer Omega, but am open to other strap makers. What is the millimeter for the strap? Is it 22mm or 20mm? I also have an Omega deployment buckle I can use too.
