Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Retrograde Annual Calendar
Parmigiani Fleurier’s manufacturing team has created both hand-wound and automatic movements, including the perpetual calendar, tourbillons, an ultra-slim model, chronograph, the Bugatti and the Hemispheres, but an annual calendar was missing, until now. It appears in the Tonda collection in a case measuring 40mm in diameter. The new complication is based on the brand’s PF 331 automatic movement, with the incorporation of a new additional Parmigiani module, creating the PF 339 Annual Calendar. The Annual Calendar automatically accounts for the variation in the number of days in each month. Only one manual correction needs be made each year, (for the month of February in non-leap years). In a leap year, the date will display February 29 and will automatically advance to March 1 the following day.The Tonda Retrograde Annual Calendar features a hand which indicates the date from 1-31 on the retrograde sector on the outer dial. The day of the week is positioned at 9 o’cloc
an FYI regarding Ceramic
Good morning all!Just thought I'd drop some information on my fellow AP-enthusiast brethren. As of late, AP has been using ceramic as a case material more frequently (look at the SIHH...white ceramic Diver, white ceramic 44mm, and a gray 44mm) so I thought it'd be worth asking them how much a replacement case would cost should something happen to it. I got a quote back for $3580 for middle case and then you add labor (in the case of my Orange Diver). That's almost 3x as much as a case replacement for Forged Carbon (roughly $1100-1300).
How much to get SMP serviced?
I am looking to flip my two tone SMP with white face and skeleton hands. But to be fair to any potential buyers I was planning on getting it serviced prior to doing so. Any idea of what it would cost (for a routine maintence service) and how long it would take? I have heard of horror stories in regards to the length of time they are taking at the service center. Thanks
Wow Incoming: what a guy! ArizonaPaul
Maybe some of you have seen this thread maybe not, but our good buddy Paul had the good fortune of buying a new SS Sky D only two weeks after showing casual interest in the watch. It was a quick turn of events for him but the opportunity present itself so he jumped. Here’s the thread...https://.rolexforums/showthre...00#post8110100Paul expressed some concern that the watch might not even sing to him but didn’t want to pass up the chance. I reached out to him saying if it’s not for him I might be a buyer. On a side note: Coincidentally I bought a d-blue almost 2 years ago and after a week realized it wasn’t really the watch for me. Guess who took that watch off my hands after a private message exchange!? ;)So I speak with Paul on the phone, explain that the watch is actually a watch my dad wants and I’ll be buying it for him (not as a gift unfortunately, just making all the arrangements, etc). After a lovely conversation, Paul tells me he’s gonna sell
Datejust 116200: how many turns of the stem to wind?
When you've not worn your Datejust for a few days and need to reset the time/date and wind the watch, how many turns of the stem do you usually do?
