Baselworld 2015: The Perrelet Turbine Skeleton
Perrelet’s most recognizable family is the Turbine collection. These watches, featuring an oscillating turbine seen through cut-outs in the dial, have become the company’s signature, and now represent the majority of Perrelet’s watches on the market. Since the design relies on an idea of openwork, letting you see into the dial, it’s always felt just a little bit like a skeletonized watch. But Perrelet offered no skeletonized version of the Turbine C until now. At Baselworld this year, Perrelet introduces the Turbine Skeleton in three different case designs. The Turbine Skeleton has a 44-mm diameter and is 13.3 mm thick. Its case is made of stainless steel with black PVD coating. The dial and accents around the edges of the bezel are in black or in a silver color, which also matches the lugs. Before pulling the trigger for the jumbo
Found a Royal oak jumbo 15202 brand new for $18,500 which includes box and papers but its an H series not an I series i cant find the thread that had a comparison showing the difference between them but, if anyone knows the difference or has the image showing the comparison please link it or post it on this thread.
Microfiber?
Is it safe to use microfiber to clean (get smudges and fingerprints off) a 15202?
Video review - Nautilus 5711
https://youtu.be/LpvNBkGP9aQVideo review of my 5711 for your viewing pleasure. Not many reviews of this and I am very happy that I managed to get the dial colour and rotor noise on the video.. the autofocus was a pain! Please comment!
New to me . . this little thing
Owner of many many Pams since early 2000s . . but lost the excitement with the brand (like many others have unfortunately). Also, decided that 47mm was not for me anymore and sold my last Pam 372 a year or so ago. Despite this I would always say Panerai is my favorite watch brand and the 372 was possibly my favorite watch I've owned. I'm not financially fortunate enough to keep lots of watches in a safe deposit, never to be worn, so it had to go. Anyway, moving on... I've always quite fancied the 512 since it came out. When I got the opportunity to have one at the right price I grabbed it. They are quite rare in the UK for some reason. Very few come up for sale. Enjoying wearing this one. So 'svelte', hardly know you have it on but still has enough Panerai presence. Loving the manual wind . . and then there's being back in the strap changing game !
