One of the most unusual watches we’ve seen in a while is this bronze prototype – rated to 1000 meters’ water resistance – made by Officine Panerai in the mid-1980s, as part of a project to develop dive watches for the Diver Corps of the Italian Navy; the watch is going up for auction this week from Christie’s. Aquanaut date wheel sticking
Looking for an opinion here. The date wheel on my 5167 Aquanaut sticks from time to time and doesn't roll over fully. Making a minor adjustment to the date will fix it and it works fine most days. I'm not sure if there's a pattern but I think I've noticed this happening around the 17-18-19th of the month.Questions for the forum: 1. Is this a known issue with this movement? 2. I still have time on the warranty. Should I send it in? Only hesitating because Patek says it will be 5 months if work's needed.

Christmas Incoming
I have added another Patek to the stable. 5170G. I received from the AD last week. It took a lot of restraint to wait until today to open it. I have been wearing it all day. The size and mass are perfect. This watch has stealthy elegance. From afar it seems plain but up close it is stunning. I am very happy to be part of a great forum. Merry Christmas to all. I was very lucky to be able to find both and with special thanks to Dimitry (DE66) whithout whom I would not have been able to get the 5712. Thanks! I managed to find a 5712 and an ap 15300 blue in the same week. Let's see if I can make it without any incoming for 2017! (Yeah right) but I am close to perfection Pics:Thanks and happy Christmas!
