Elegant Accessories: The Gucci Time Box by Scatola del Tempo
Gucci has teamed up with Scatola del Tempo,?an Italian manufacturer specializing in watch winders and boxes, to produce the Gucci Time Box, a luxuriously appointed watch winder that bears the design influence of Gucci’s renowned creative director, Frida Giannini.Like other models in Scatola del Tempo’s Rotor collection, the Gucci Time Box is made entirely by hand and is designed to isolate the watch in a compartment made of flexible polyurethane resin and covered with silk fabric that is free of oxidizing agents. The compartment is designed to accommodate both round and shaped watches, up to a diameter of 48 mm and thickness of 16 mm. The back of the watch case rests against two padded cushions and the strap fits into a recessed groove between them. The user can select multiple rotation programs, which determine how many hours the watch rotates in each 24-hour period. The winder’s battery status is indicated by with red and green LED indicator lights in the front or vi
RO Chrono new in house movement?
I'm considering a RO Chrono. Love the timeless design. One dealer was telling me that they will have a new in house movement by the end of the year. Does anyone have details on this? Normally, a new movement will add to the MSRP. But the MSRP on the ROC is already $24000+. You guys feel like it will be substantially higher with a new movement? Should I wait for the new movement? What do you guys think about the present Frederic Piguet movements?? Let's be real, I'm sure it tells time well. But a movement in a fine, expensive swiss watch is important.
Help: Is this Audemars Diver ok?
Hey guys,I'm along time lurker on the rolexforums and I'm looking for a long time to buy an Audemars Diver. Now I'm about to pull the trigger on this Diver tomorrow. As I'm not an expert in Audemars watches, I would be happy if you could tell me if this used Diver is ok. The seller is a professional seller but doesn't know if the watch was already serviced. The watch was originally sold in 2011 but only worn a few times as the seller states.I asked for some detailed pictures. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Regards, Veit from Germany
Why RC Rose Gold rather than Ceramic Bezel?
As per the rhread title, why do people tend towards the rose gold rubber clad rather than the ceramic bezel'd offshore chrono model?I think the ceramic looks much better, particularly given the hour markers...
Speedmaster Mitsukoshi Conversion
I recently cracked the crystal on my 3570.50, and took the opportunity to do a mitsuskoshi conversion. Dial and hands all genuine OEM from Otto Frei. I am really happy with how it came out.Only probably: I do miss my standard issue Speedmaster, and so am thinking I will need to pick up another somewhere along the line.A big shout-out and thank you to that great trf member kauebm for guiding me through the process of sourcing the right parts.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
