HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 172: A Diver But Not For Diving
Watch buyers without deep pockets get our tips as we recap on the watches-dealer article, "7 Ways To Survive As a Watch Lover On A Budget." John and I have each used all of those tips ourselves. We also talk about DeBethune's first diver's watch, the 300 meter water resistant DB28 Grand Sport. Last, we ponder who buys (and why) highly limited edition, hand-engraved, and complicated interesting oddities like the Zenith Academy Christoph Colomb Hurricane II.Listen to the HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 172 here.Direct MP3 download here.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore GINZA7 Watches
The March 2011 series of disasters in Japan really sucked for them, and it still sucks for them. It was like a triple play of Armageddon leaving even Godzilla offering to help pick up the rubble. Joking aside, much of Japan is in bad shape? - though the country is help together by the people's pride and cultural ability to survive and thrive after disaster strikes. As is the case with most all natural disasters, entities both private and public come to help. Corporations like to hold special events or create special products to aid recovery causes. Are these actions commercially driven? Sure, but it is the thought that counts right. Japan has always been a healthy market for Audemars Piguet and now, about six months after the fact when Japan is still in recovery mode, AP has launched two money raising charity programs. Oh, and worth noting is that Audemars Piguet will not charge for labor fixing any AP watches that may have been damaged as an effect of the disaster in Japan. Check with
Survey Of The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Sport Watch History
The Hour Lounge is a serious enthusiast oriented forum dedicated almost wholly to Vacheron Constantin watches. If you ever have a questions about? Vacheron Constantin watches, The Hour Lounge is the place to go. I've enjoying talking with their members on occasion who I can easily say know far more about Vacheron Constantin watches that I do. The forum moderator Alex Ghotbi, has recently posted an extensive photo essay on the history of the Vacheron Constantin sport watch - basically the Overseas. What is now the range of Overseas watch models started as a unique angular cased watch in the 1930s.? You'll noticed the finely milled case looks incredibly modern, and you'll understand where the Overseas watch got its iconic looks. Over the 20th century the look of Vacheron Constantin watches slowly evolved, but retained mostly the same character.Alex dispels the myth that the famous ref. 222 Overseas model from the 1970s was designed by Gerald Genta. It was actually created by Jorg Hysek.
