Audemars Piguet Celebrates its 135th Anniversary and Launches a New Royal Oak Offshore
On October 5, Audemars Piguet Japan held the brand’s 135th anniversary and new product launch party in the Choice! restaurant on the third floor of Tokyo’s prestigious Ark Mori building. The event was attended by 500 guests including VIPs, celebrities and media. The evening included the launch of a new Royal Oak Offshore limited edition. Mr. Go Mugino, Chief Executive Officer of Audemars Piguet Japan, introduced the evening's first “special guests”: brand founders Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet appeared in a hologram to greet attendees. Through the wonders of technology, they talked about the history of AP and the watch industry in general, and how things have changed since the time they first started. Historical watches representing 135 years of history were on display around them. The next and most special guest, representing the brand's newly released watch model, was Formula 1 racing ace Jarno Trulli, who has been has been serving as Audemar
Russian President Medvedev Wearing HD3 Slyde Watch
When celebrities like actors and athletes are seen wearing watches I don't care too much. Mostly because I know what is involved in getting those watches on said actors and athletes. When important politicians wear watches I find it a bit more interesting, usually because they don't engage in things like endorsement deals or have stylists. Here, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is wearing an HD3 Slyde (previewed here) high-end digital touch-screen watch. He is wearing it while being interviewed on a show (you can see the full video here). Very interesting choice for him. As you know, Russia, and its surrounding countries, are very wealth and watch conscious. Look for a full review of the HD3 Slyde watch on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer soon.Keep up with all that is Slyde, here.

I'm in the market for my first AP and have narrowed it down to the AP Diver 15710 or the Royal Oak 15400ST black dial. Having a hard time deciding!!!!Any feedback or advice? I currently own the Rolex BLNR, Hulk, and SD43 so what do you guys suggest? Appreciate your help!

5208p
Greetings TRF,A few months ago I started a thread with a little review of the Patek Philippe 5235g. In this review I thought that, despite the fact that I do not own this timepiece, I could give you my opinion on a couple of points regarding it. Ever since I did that (and discussed those points with other great members around here) I've had the idea of doing another one on a piece that I consider really special, the Patek Philippe 5208p.Here are some personal observations about this timepiece:- In my very first review I tried to be as critical (without trying to sound pompous or arrogant) as I could about the Patek Philippe regulator. Alas (although I think it is a very good thing) I don't think I can find a bad thing to say about this one. The dial, case, movement and complications are just outstanding and I think this particular watch really helps us to appreciate the brand's quality and its watchmakers' talent: finding a way to make a triple complications watch look that simple is s
