World Watch Report 2009 Reveals Online Trends
Digital marketing specialist IC-Agency has released the 5th World Watch Report market study. Its conclusions are based on a sample of more than 300 million global online searches relating to 25 watch brands in 7 export markets: China, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany. The study found that the 3 most-searched watch models are the Omega Seamaster and Speedmaster, and the Rolex Daytona, in that order. In terms of global demand distribution for luxury watches, Europe leads the way with a 44.2% market share. Within Europe, the UK is tops (14.6%), followed by Germany (12.1%), Italy (9.6%) and France (7.7%). The USA remains the most important single market at 42.8%. Asia is still weak, with 13.2% market share, but China (7.4%) overtakes Japan (5.8%). This is important because China’s level of Internet usage is only 22%, compared with 74% in Japan. The Chinese are mainly interested in brands (77%), and are less interested in models (less than 10%, c
26400 FC 44 for PP 5164...would ya ?
Simple proposition is on the table. Would have to add a few K. Any thoughts would be appreciated. For full disclosure I do have a 5980r and AP diver both of which would stay. TIA for all the opinions.
New Planet Ocean 8500 Liquid Metal Titanium
I debated whether I should get the Planet Ocean 8500 Liquid Metal Titanium since I already had a regular Planet Ocean 8500 but I couldn't resist any longer. I had to have it and I think it's different enough for sure now that I have both. The blue is an awesome shade and it changes hue in different lighting. I got both the rubber strap and the bracelet just like I did with my other 8500 to change things up. I am a big Rolex fan but the PO 8500 at 45.5 MM is perfect for my nearly 8 wrist. Add the 8500 movement with clear case back and if you buy grey market like I do, you have an awesome watch for an awesome price. Super satisfied with these Planet Oceans.
Is it me or something else?
Hi TRF,Whilst wandering around the Tourneau today, I really was struck by just how incredible all Rolex watches are. The PM Daytonas, DDs, DJs, Smurfs, etc.--which tells you what they had--looked fantastic. Its not just that the Rolex watches look great under bright lights. All brand watches do. They're supposed to. The IWC's, Tudor, etc., also looked great. However, the Rolex watches just looked a cut above. Maybe its me and my desire to own a 16610LV, Sky Dweller, and perhaps even a GMT 1675, which is skewing my vision. I acknowledge my own bias. However, objectively, Rolex does seem seem to have some x factor quality that simply makes them stand out on an individual watch-to-watch basis. What do you think?Best,TA
Daytona MSRP what if scenario..
Hypothetically speaking...would you light up your CC if you could get a Daytona at MSRP? Let's assume the card would be paid off in 3 months.
