For 2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre expands the Duom��tre family with the addition of the 42mm Duom��tre �� Quanti��me Lunaire. This piece displays time with a jumping foudroyante seconds hand showing 1/6th of a second increments, along with the date and the age of the moon. The “dual-wing” movement features two independent power supplies: one regulated by the escapement and balance, and the other for the time, date and age of the moon displays. The dual-wing architecture bypasses the problem of additional complications affecting the smooth flow of power to the escapement, and so allows precise timekeeping even in a very complicated watch.
