15400 Royal Oak dials
Lots of opinions shared on the forum lately about the various dials on the Royal Oak. Great discussions. Personally, I struggle with being able to read some dials without my readers on, (sucks getting old). The new ruthenium just does't do it for me, to my eye it just has no pop, not interesting, no offence to any owners. The blue would be redundant ion my collection plus the surcharge. The black and silver are my two considerations. Both have their benefits, not concerned about opinions as to what is best. For those who have seen both side by side Here is my question - Which colour dial is the most legible?Thx
Tried this on
I was at a GTG tonight and was able to try this one and fell back in love with the Royal Oak Plus it looks great next to my 5711 Have to love Genta for these
Bad Repair advice, common practice...?
I had some minor work done on my Rolex at a AD recently. One day when I picked up the Rolex I asked if the repair guy (watchmaker A) could fix the chrono function on my Omega Seamaster Olympics edition watch, which did nothing when I pushed the pushers. I gave it to him for a few minutes, he came back and said that he needed to send it out, as he wasn't familiar with the movement on that watch, and furthermore would have to send it out to Omega. He had it open for about five minutes, and the chrono still didn't work. I then took the watch to a trusted contact (watchmaker B), he looked at it for one minute and then asked if someone had recently worked on it. He indicated that someone had turned an adjustment screw all the way open, which had further complicated the problem. He fixed it in about two minutes applying the appropriate adjustments without changing any parts.Watchmaker B is certain that watchmaker A knew exactly what he was doing, as the movement is a very common chrono movem

Hulk won't change date-now what??
Hi, Title kind of says it all. My Hulk will not change dates automatically after it goes past midnight. Even after I manually wind the minute hand around, it does not switch over. I have tried it for several revolutions of the minute hand to make sure. However, it does change when I manually pull out the stem to the first click, where that feature is JUST to change the date and the minute hand does not move. So, what is my procedure now. I bought it from DavidSW here and I have plenty of warranty left. Can I just bring it to an AD with my warranty card or do I need to send it to Rolex somewhere. Thanks for your help.
