Omega "Targa Florio" Chronograph
I picked up this Omega Chronograph about a year ago, but only got round to taking pics recently. I had long been attracted to Chronographs in general, especially vintage/semi-vintage ones. The Targa Florio is a Limited Edition version of Omega's 'Dynamic Chronograph' line, and was issued in 1999. They said it was a tribute to the last Targa Florio auto race held in 1973. The Targa Florio was the worlds oldest sports car racing event. It was an open road/endurance race held in the mountains near Palermo, Sicily, and a version is now held as a rallying event. This is watch # 16#9 of 1973 in this limited edition.
Can't get the 5980 off my mind
I have a 5726 white dial which I like very much. Stopped by my local AD today and beheld a 5980/1AR-001. I have always though of two tones as ok, not a lover or hater. I find this watch in the flesh to be such a stunner, can't stop thinking about it. I haven't seen the piece in solid Rose it may be great too.Saw the 5990 and while it is a great piece I was as wowed at first viewing as I was with the 5726. Time may cause a change here, it was great. As the 5980 two tone looks entirely different in the flesh from the pictures, in fact, Patek's pics are so poor they might even be better not to post them. Those of you who have seen this reference could you share your thoughts.

Bhindi Jewelers @ Glendale Galleria, SoCal
Although they didn't have any Basel steel, they had a ND Submariner, every Milgauss varietal, two DeepSea SDs, a bunch of SS and TT DJ41s and some of my personal favorites in the running for WATCH Number TWWWOOOOO... Naturally his salesmanship crept around spouting about, buy now before the price increases. But I'll see him soon enough, anyway. These were absolute STUNNERS in the skin. The RG is not loud as you would think for a gold watch; and I LOVE the weight. I am also a fan of the WG DD with the blue dial; but I already have a white metal covered.. and oooohhh man that Daytona blue was tempting.I might add they had a champagne w/diamond OF Daytona as well.
