Watch Winner Review: Gc Gc-3 Automatic
In January 2014 the watches-dealer giveaway watch was a fine looking Gc Gc-3 automatic. Our fortunate winner was Mr. Oliver S., and he has returned with some thoughts and pictures of his new timepiece. We thank Oliver and many of the other watch winners for following the watches-dealer tradition of following up after they've received their timepiece. See his thoughts below: First off, I would just like to take a moment to thank watches-dealer for selecting me, the lucky winner! It certainly was an incredible surprise C during an insomnia-fueled horology binge C to see an email from Ariel to flash up on my phone, congratulating meME! It was quite hard to believe at first that I had actually won. The phrase but I never win anything' has escaped my mouth a fair few times since the initial email, but it just proves that these things really do happen! As many of you will know, Gc is a branch of Guess, and was set up in 1997. Guess make their own watches that focus largely on a fashionable l
Interview: Visit To The New Panerai Boutique In Miami & Interview With Angelo Bonati, CEO Of Pan
This month Panerai opened its first ever flagship store in the United States and I was lucky enough to go down to see the boutique for myself. The 2,200 square foot boutique is located in the heart of the Miami Design District – the innovative neighborhood being developed by Dacra, founded by entrepreneur Craig Robbins, and L Real Estate, a global real estate and development fund. 1 OF 17 The Miami Design District development is special in that it partners with prominent architects and artists to design the buildings and retail spaces. Each space is unique and creates an overall experience for the shopper. The Panerai boutique is located in an area called Palm Court, along with several other luxury brands such as Vacheron Constantin, IWC, Hublot, and Piaget (to name a few). The boutique is in a blue reinforced glass structure designed by Sou Fujimoto, who is known for his delicate and strong structures that deal with the concept of light. The facade is inspired by
Sell the Speedy Tuesday?
So I was lucky enough to get a sub 100 Speedy Tuesday. Now the mental debate begins of keeping it or selling it… I know this is the Rolex discussion board, so here's where my dilemma begins. If I keep it I will need to sell my BLNR. Do I sell the speedy while the hype is high? My problem, is that buy watches to wear, and I haven't really worn it because I can't decide whether to keep it. I figured I turn to my fellow addicts on my most visited website for a sounding board!

Pulled the trigger- 5905 Incoming- Blue Baby-Blue!
I can't believe I'm spending this much on a watch. But I'm a big guy- 6'4 and have other watches but I gravitate towards the best. There is little doubt that Patek is at the top of the heap when it comes to the world of watches.I've always worn larger watches- 42-44mm but have loved the style of Patek. Anytime I wanted to buy a Patek, I'd have an internal battle over buying their 39 and 40mm watches.I got a 5980 last year and while not a true 44mm, I really got used to the size. I sold my AP Grand Prix and some other pieces to make some room in the collection as my love for all things Patek deepend.I kept my eye out for the elusive Grail- a larger Patek that didn't cost upwards of 750k. A month ago my AD called and said they had a 5524- the Pilots watch. I declined as it was not a good time in my life as I was going through some busy time at work. But I regret that decision to this day. A Patek that is large and frankly I like the style of it.However I digress- fast forward
