Fukang Watch Company: 'Expressionately' From China
"Fukang Watch!" This Chinese watch maker contacted me recently to tell me about their company and status as OEM and promotional watch makers. I have a feeling they do most of their business in China. You have here a watch company that is no where near being ready to enter the Western market. While their intentions are good, my reaction to their website and marketing is nothing short of hilarity. Starting with the name, we can tell that although their website (szfukangwatches-dealer) has an English section, no one who actually speaks English spent any time on it. Again"Fukang" Watch. Mother "Fukang" Watch. Sad and hilarious, but true. So our Fukang friends do everything from blatant design copies, to hideous Chinese military inspired watch creations, to stuff that isn't all that offensive on the eyes actually. Explore their site a bit and you can find a lot of stuff. If you wanted to order anything, you'll need to contact them for a quote. They prefer wholesale. I recommend getting 5
New acquisition, need help.
So today I took in a watch for partial payment. It is an omega ladies 14k white gold watch. I have tested the gold and know it is real. The watch is not currently running but I think it, with a good spa treatment, work and be nice again. Pictures are below but incase you can't read the markings they are as follows: inside of case back has triangle with omega symbol and omega watch co underneath that is 14k goldThen aa8928 and the case sn after that. Movement: omega watches seventeen 17 jewels. Swiss unadjusted the omega symbol and 484 ( movement #) and a movement sn.Thanks in advance! I believe that this is from the mid to late 60s as I know the movement didn't come about until 63 and I found one similar but in yellow gold with an earlier sn from 1966.

Day Date II vs 40
Forgive me I searched and didn't find anything like this thread, if it exists please point me towards it. I know the majority of this forum is old school and will say 36mm over all but please save that for your personal opinion. What are the major differences between the 2 and 40 other then the obvious size and movement. What movement does the 2 have? We know the 40 has the 3255 I believe with 70 hours like the 3250 in the DJ40.How is the market on the 2 vs 40 etc. Please teach the forum the difference between these two and owners perspectives of both or one.Thank you in advance.
Hands
I apologize if this is in the wrong place but I didn't see another likely place for this. Are there black hands available for a 16233-3135 circa 1990 (as far as I can tell) Datejust.Bear with me bit and I'll explain why. I bought my first Rolex new in the late 70s. I was somewhat on a budget and one of the less ostentatious models caught my eye. The watch was a stainless/gold with stainless/gold jubilee band with gold crown on the clasp. It had a fluted bezel and a white face with painted black Roman numerals, and as I recall, black hands. Based on when I bought it I think it was a 16013. I came to love that watch. It was simple and elegant. (Apparently Rolex never offered that dial/hand combo again, at least as far as I can tell. If I'm wrong, please tell me.)Unfortunately the watch disappeared between my jeweler and the Dallas service center in the mid-80s. I got an insurance replacement but that white dial/black roman combo was not available. I got a champagne dial with gold roman n
