Renovated Omega Museum in Biel Reopens
The Omega Museum in Biel reopened on May 3, following several months of renovation. Originally opened in January, 1984, the museum is the oldest dedicated to a single watch brand. Located just opposite Omega's headquarters in Biel, it features items representing the brand's entire history, from Louis Brandt’s 160-year-old watchmaker's bench to the Olympics, moon landings, James Bond, and beyond. Omega president Stephen Urquhart likened the period of renovation to an archaeological dig. Not only did we renovate the whole museum but we also restored many of the period features of this listed building. The project gave us a chance to review our entire collection. Some of the objects displayed are being presented to the public for the first time, including things which we didn't even know were hidden in the archives. Displays vividly recreate Omega’s history, presenting the brand's most important stories. Visitors can examine equipment Omega developed and used in its role as o
Bell Ross and Daniel Strom have introduced a new motto to the collection
The steel tonneau-shaped case of the base watch demonstrates hand-engraved fluorescent gothic skulls. The glance is caught by five large skulls at each corner of the timepiece. The crown also looks like a skull. Bell Ross and Daniel Strom have introduced a new motto to the collection: "Quod tu es, ego fui, quod ego sum, tu eris" translated as "I was what you are, and what I am you shall be." The motto has been suggested by the statement on the tombstone of a famous Roman legionary.
Need some suggestions regarding AP vs PP vs RM vs Newman
Hi guys,Thinking about adding a new watch to my collection. To be honest, bought a lot of PP recently so PP is the last one on my list. But the cheapest one :)1. Audemars Piguet GMT Concept Tourbillon (this exact reference)The price will be around 125,000 Euro. This would be my first ever tourbillon watch and a perfect one for that (as I think tourbillon is a movement looking better on a sports watch rather than PP with closed tourbillon or something like JLC with open tourbillon. Minute repeater is for more classical style watches, in my opinion of course. The size is good for my wrist as well.2. Richard Mille RM35 Nadal CarbonI do not have a Richard Mille & Skeleton so that would fit nice for me as well. The price will be around 80,000 Euros. Also the size is really good and this for me is really a good looking & sporty watch. Can't be sure about the price & also the availability though.3. Patek Philippe 5960P Black DialThe cheapest of all, will be around 55,000 Euro. Th

Speedy advice
OK having a decent collection of Rolex and looking to add some variety ive always been intersted in the speedmaster moonwatch, (ive got a PO and cant fault it) Now im not really up to speed(no pun intended) on the models nor the pricing, i like the idea of the plexiglass as a vintage point of view.I went into one of the local AD's last night and got offered one for about $3400usd with the massive omega box(loupe, straps ect...)Is this a decent price or am i paying for packaging... after all you dont wear the box lol! its very cool but its going to live in the cupboard with all the other ones.Should i look for an older second hand pre special packaging? or is this a decent price for this set?just looking for some knowledgeable opinions cheers
