Watches NEWS
Mitt Romney's Election Time Wrist Watch
In November of 2012 the United States will hold another presidential election and if you are like me you are wondering, "what watches are the candidates wearing!?" Fortunately I don't vote based on watch preferences - which would be silly in this country because the watches our candidates wear are actually political signals these days. And by the way, my interest in the watches politicians wear is purelynot political.President Obama has been wearing the same watches for several years - being the Jorg Gray JG 6500 watch that I reviewed here. Obama is fiercely loyal to the watch having worn it since he was campaigning back in 2008. It was a gift from the secret service, which in turn ended up being a gift for Jorg Grayfrom a business perspective. Service Cost
Hello Everyone,Quick question, my ROO has some filament missing in the hour/minute hands. Any question on how much a service (w/polish and cleaned up) would cost? Thanks again!
Vintage Bracelet Repair
I just picked up a nice vintage with a 1035 bracelet (circa 70's).Is there any place State side that can service/repair the bracelet for me?I've used Michael Young for Rolex bracelet repair, but was hoping to stay close.thanks
Some wrist-shots of my new PO
This is my second PO I've had in about a year. I first got the 45.5mm and while I love it, it just wasn't comfortable to me. The 42mm has completely changed my mind :)Rolex needs to start AR coating their crystals. It make such a difference.
Report on my Patek 5205G...............
The first six weeks with my 5205G………This is the first review of a watch that I have ever done, so please bear with me, especially if the construction of it , is not quite in sync!As most of the regular members will know, and probably frustrated after, I have been in love with this piece, especially with the darker coloured (grey) dial from the moment that I first saw the photos that came out from Basel 2010. So much so that when I saw a dummy model at my AD the following month, I asked them to let me know, when the first one came in. In the meantime, not having the cash available for such a purchase, I went about doing some “Wheeling & Dealing” of my small collection, which included my FP Journe Black Label Calendrier, which to a degree I still very much regret selling. Long story short, I received a phone call from my AD back in September asking me if I was still keen on getting a 5205G? Yes was my reply, so after a small deposit had been placed and
