Watches NEWS
the new Breitling watch is teamed with Barenia or crocodile leather straps
Endowed with four ultra-powerful "turbo-compound" engines, the Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation is one of the brightest symbols of the sky conquest. It impresses greatly by its dolphin-like curved fuselage and triple-tail design. This propeller-driven long-haul plane dominated civil aviation in the 1950s and earned its fame as the "King of the Atlantic". Offered in a limited edition of 1049 pieces, the new Breitling watch is teamed with Barenia or crocodile leather straps. It can be also accessorized with Navitimer or Air Racer bracelets.
May I have some Breitling help please..??
I had a Breitling described to me as: Logo at 12, Bentley somewhere in the center and caseback looking like a Bentley rim on a SS bracelet. Can anyone by this vague description tell me what name and model # this is?Can you tell I know nothing about Bretlings?
Dress watch battle
Any Advice on relative merits/demerits especially cost/resale of following dress watches: Patek 5296 vs Grand Lange 1 vs VC patrimony tradionnelle I am looking for entry level dress watch from high end luxury makers,is that a good short list? Thanks!
Calatrava - Robust Enough For Everyday Use?
Hello,I'm looking to get back into a Patek after a ten year absence. I once had a beautiful 60's Calatrava that I loved but it had seen some humidity over the years and it needed some significant work which was beyond my budget so I regretfully sold it. I now find myself in a position to once again consider getting another Patek and I am trying to decide which model to pursue. I originally was thinking about an Aquanaut but I keep seeing Calatravas that I really like. I am wondering if a more modern Calatrava would be robust enough to wear daily. I do walk to work and I have a seven year old son so sweat and the odd knock are going to happen. I currently wear a 70's Rolex Datejust most days and as much as I like it I would expect that if I bought another Patek I would want to wear it almost everyday.Do you guys think that a Calatrava would be up to the job?
Any "one-watch" Rolex Owners?
Hey All,I absolutely LOVE watches, and spend a bit too much time each day scrolling through these forums and instagram. Every day I have an urge to add another watch to the collection, however I have seen that as the collection grows, my attachment to each timepiece lessens a bit. Whenever I have my Explorer 214270 on the wrist, I have the urge to become a one-watch guy, wearing this beauty daily for the next 30-40 years. Any successful one-watch Rolex owners out there with a story to tell? Cheers,GV
