Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends December 19, 2014
TAG Heuer is slightly troubled of late. Earlier this year, the company debuted its new CH80 in-house chronograph movement at Basel, but just months later, they decided to not only shelf production of the movement, but also to let some 46 employees go. TAG Heuer's new Chevenez facility, which was built in anticipation of the CH80 movement, would also be repurposed to produce other movements. Furthermore,?just recently, its CEO Stephane Linder resigned leaving the legendary Jean-Claude Biver, who is head of watches at LVMH, to assume the position of interim CEO. Help with 15400 Dial Color
Sorry to bother everyone again, but just when I was getting ready to purchase a white dial 15400 I went to the AP website and the pictures implied that the blue dial was much more readable. As I like both colors and fully realize ultimately it is my choice dictated by my taste, I was hoping for some insight from those more familiar with the piece regarding pros and cons of each color. Readability is important to me. Thank you.
5205
I remember 5205 was quite well received when it debuted (2010?). Now, it seems that some owners -fellow TRF members- could not cope with its different case shape and ended up flipping it. Some of the reasons mentioned here were that the watch wears too small, is too top heavy, too thick, unbalanced.Considering the options available for similarly priced annual calendars in the current PP collection (such as 5396G, recently updated with a stunning grey dial), does 5205 still hold its grounds?
Nice Nautilus article in PP Magazine
A nice piece on the Nautilus and on Genta's love for what he called his masterpiece.
