Unfortunately I won't be finding one of these under the tree this year (or likely ever!), but it was a delight to try one on at the AP boutique in HK. It is a stunning combination of colours and contrasts - absolutely beautiful.
Picture thread of less common models
Seems like we see a lot of pictures/threads of the same models. Let's display some of the less often seen watches.
DD40 or 5726?
Looking to get something to rotate with my 5167 Aquanaut and BLNR for daily wear. I don't wear suits- usually wear scrubs at work and casual clothes. For meetings usually long sleeve shirt and slacks/ khakis/ or jeans. I'm strongly considering a DD40 in WG (Rhodium dial) or a 5726 (probably gray but would love a white dial). Might choose strap over bracelet but not sure. I should be able to try on both this week. I wash my hands 100x/day so a bracelet or composite strap is a must. What are the pros and cons of each? I'm a little worried the DD may be too dressy looking with scrubs and casual clothes. Anyone who has owned these please comment (or better yet, if you've owned both). I've always wanted a Day-Date. Consider it my dream Rolex. The Patek with complications and moon phase is equally if not more appealing. Can only afford one. Thoughts?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pricing for a used 114060 usd6900 fair?
Dear All, I have been searching with my local AD for a ceramic sub but not much luck. I'm OK with either the date or non date version. I have the opportunity to buy a preown 114060 dated 2014, full sets box card etc, in unpolished condition for usd6900.Is this fair? Also are we ever going to get a sub at Rolex AD? Been out of stock for 2 years, omg.... Anyway fair price for my query above? Sent from my CPH1701 using TapatalkSent from my CPH1701 using Tapatalk
AD vs Boutique
Is there any difference pros/cons wise between buying at an AD that sells a wide variety of watch brands, and buying at a boutique that exclusively sells Rolex and Tudor? Advice is greatly appreciated
