Thinking of cutting an extra notch on my rubber strap
I have an rg44, and wear it on its tightest buckle notch. still comfortable to wear. However, it's a bit loose and can slide down my wrist enough that bending my hand all the way back makes the chrono pushers dig into the back of my hand. If I had just one more notch on the rubber strap would give it a perfect fit. Should I take an exacto knife to it and make a new hole myself? is there a shorter strap I can get? What do you guys think?

Chuck Maddox passed away
Dear friends,I only found out a few minutes ago, while visiting over at TZ...Oh what sad news... dear Chuck Maddox, amongst many many many things a source of endless inspiration, has passed away...Sincerest condolences to his family and his friends...There are many fellow readers (here and elsewhere) who knew him far better, but - lacking better words while still in shock - I hope I'll be forgiven if I repeat my simple and sad note I just posted over at TZ, as better words don't seem to come to me right now...Chuck, everything I came to know about this wonderful hobby I owe to you! It was through your restless and wonderful work that the world of this hobby came alive at first and then opened up to me! Through your articles and the few email exchanges shared, my own curiosity was pushed to the limits. So, dear Chuck, it is with a heavy heart that I am now left with nothing else but a most heartfelt THANK YOU!!!!A THANK YOU that goes beyond anything I can put into words right now...Rest
Incoming: Sub ND (yesterday 3/29/18)!
Stopped by the AD last Friday to visit and have the 5512 appraised. I mentioned I'd never seen a modern (i.e. 114060) Sub ND, so my sales rep said she'd contact me when one came in. So, thought I was good for a viewing in a month or so.She called yesterday - Fedex had just delivered a ND and a Hulk (already sold). So I gave her a deposit over the phone, and left immediately for the store - Springer's in Portsmouth, NH.Brought it home. I guess the 5512 would be it's grandfather. Delighted to get it!
Adding to a small collection
Hi all, I'm a new member here and still somewhat of a noob when it comes to the various models. I'm considering adding to my small collection and wanted to hear what y'all thought. Currently own (and attached):1967 #1675 Pepsi GMT2008 #116710LN GMT II2018 #116610LV Sub Hulk (just got it a week ago!!!)Considerations:#116400GV z-blue Milgauss- very unique and different. I work in the medical field and would be cool to have an engineering watch.#126334 Blue/fluted DJ 41- perhaps traditional/boring, but a more dressy watch to add to the sports collection. #116610LN Black Sub/Date- I'm not really into it because I have a black GMT II and the hulk, but would be interesting to fill out the submariner collection. Overall, I'm leaning to a Milgauss, but wondered what you guys thought!
