Tutima Begins Deliveries of Its Hommage Minute Repeater
In summer 2011, Germany-based Tutima, known chiefly for its modestly priced pilots’ watches, unveiled a watch-world first: the first minute repeater wristwatch whose entire mechanism was built entirely in the German watchmaking town of Glashtte. As of the beginning of this year, the company announced, deliveries of the eagerly awaited timepiece have finally begun.Tutima, a company that traces its history back to the 1920s, spent three years developing the movement for the watch, Hommage Caliber 800, incorporating several elements distinctive to Glashtte watchmaking, such as a three-quarter plate and engraved balance cock (here, with a G Clef to indicate the watch’s melodious chimes). Since the watch’s introduction nearly two years ago, Tutima has made a few small, mostly aesthetic changes. The surfaces of the movement’s plates and bridges are now in rose gold, which harmonizes better with the case materials for the two models (one in rose gold, one in platinum
Newbie with newbie questions!! Help with AP ID
Long story short, I received this watch from a friend along with a bunch of other items that fell under the terms of 'garbage' 😳I believe it to be authentic based on the socioeconomic status of my friend, but would still like to get the advice of people that are completely immersed in this world of collecting. I personally collect things like video games, arcades, bmx bikes and skateboards.. so a $40k watch is just a little outside of my wheel house 😂!I am planning on taking the watch to a local govbergs jeweler to have it serviced, new band, battery, whatever it needs.. because I have no use for this thing and would like to maximize my profits on it. I will take more pictures of it when I get home, but wanted to get this out there and see what y'all could tell me while I'm bored at work lol! I'm also kinda afraid to even take the back off this thing because I don't want to hurt anything... but I also want to know the internal numbers.. thoughts?
Trade 16570 for FOIS?
Title says it all. I have both the black and white Explorer II and have been thinking of trading the black for a FOIS 1962 re-edition. It's that or sell off a couple of other Omegas to get it. Please tell me your rationale for your decision. I hate to flip but have been really thinking about what watches make sense for me longer term and I don't think that I will keep the two Speedy dates and the black Explorer II long term so I might as well trade for a piece that I see as a long term acquisition.

My New Sub
As a working stiff, my Sub was a long time coming! Bought from a local jewelry store for $6800 OTD. Traded my 84 SS datejust for 2k, so final price was $4800. It is a 99 A serial & came with the box all the books and paperwork. It also had a nice bonus of the hang tags and anchor. Did I pay to much? And did I get enough for my DJ? Love my new watch Love my new watch!!!
