Let's talk 15202
Hey Gang,Currently I've been thinking about changing some things up in my collection, ok I'm always doing that but...I had received an offer from a super nice guy here on TRF for a trade which included me receiving a 15202. Although that specific trade did not come to fruition, it did put the 15202 on my brain radar So here's the question:I currently own a 15400 silver dial which I really love. If I had to think of one complaint it would be mayyyybe it's a tad big. It looks fine on me. I do like the size. It gives it a bit of a sporty look on an otherwise very dressed up watch. The 15400 seems to not get much love here on the forum, overshadowed by the 15300 and even more so by the 15202. I'm fine with that, I'm past buying watches only because they are popular . So I thought I'd get some thoughts about the 15202 when it gets down to the brass tacks. Does anyone have pictures of the 15202 & 15400 side by side?
Waterproofing capability with an unscrewed crown (ROO)
Hi guys,Appreciate some opinion here. Earlier today, I went swimming with my ROO on and crown unlocked! Just swimming at the surface, no more than 1m and for only about 10 minutes. It did not appear that there was any water ingress to the naked eye after considerable squinting. Also placed the watch in the fridge face down, to lower the case temperature as I was thinking if there was gonna be any condensation, I should see it. Nothing turned up either. My question is: With the crown not screwed down, is there a basic level of water ingress protection built in? I was googling earlier and understand that Rolex has this protective device though not officially acknowledged. Any of you guys have similar experiences to share or perhaps know the insides of the watch well enough? If it helps, its a F series Black Themes. Thanks for reading.
Clang!!!!
Clang!! That's a sound that one doesn't want to hear when doing laundry while wearing an AP. Worse is when you see chipped paint on the dryer and paint primer on your bezel.
Omega Aqua Terra Depreciation??
Just curious what the thoughts are on the depreciation in value on a new 41mm Aqua Terra? Black dial rubber strap,Bought it in mid December '17.What % of purchase price do you think it depreciates in 3 months time? There is no wrong answer. Just curious what general thoughts are.Thank you.
