watches-dealer is now the official Watch Media Partner of The Couture Show. Couture (@by_couture) is a high-end watch and jewelry trade show event that takes place each year in Las Vegas during the same time as the JCK event, which this year will be on May 29 - June 2, 2014. watches-dealer will be bringing you exciting live watch coverage of the event from?the Wynn Hotel.For our first year with Couture, we will be making some changes to how the event is covered. The 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans race was won by the Porsche 917 K driven by Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood. Not only did Porsche win the race but their cars also came in the 2nd and 3rd place, sweeping the podium.The P'6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 Limited Edition watch face styling is based on the design of the Porsche 917 K's dashboard instruments, hence the name. The face features the number 23 in a white circle at the 3 o'clock position, which was the number displayed on the winning Porsche 917 K The watch face features a black background with white and red hour minute indicators. The hour and minute hands are painted white with light-emitting material and the second hand is painted red.

OK. We've seen the Speedmaster in the movies. We've surveyed the Speedmaster's early years and its evolution to Professional status. And we've taken a look at how Omega reacted to the quartz crisis and its effect on the Speedmaster line �C which was one BIG variation. The Rolex Explorer Range
I'm continuing to research the Explorer 1 to help make a decision on which of the Rolex Explorer 1's I will be looking to purchase, (money no object it would be the 1016 but due to the demand and value this may be a bit ambitious for my budget?)I did find the attached on the internet that may be of use to others in a similar situation,I'm based in England and would appreciate if anyone could advise as to the price range of Explorer 1's relevant to the dates posted and the watch being in a Good pre owned condition, my gut feeling so far is that the 114270 will be what I will be pursuing, although I've not ruled out a mid 90's 14270, decision's decisions..........
