Watches NEWS
Anstead OCEANIS
The abundance of watch projects on Kickstarter is old news. The internet's most popular crowd funding website is jam packed with a vast array of watch and watch related projects, most notable of which is the Pebble digital "watch" with its E-Ink display and ability to pair with the Apple iPhone. But there has been a noticeable absence of traditional watch projects on Kickstarter – mechanical watches, watches that are free from gimmicks, and watches by companies with a sustainable vision. Or more aptly put, watch projects that actual watch geeks can get behind. That's why we are really excited to see the Anstead Watches OCEANIS project thriving on the Kickstarter platform.Anstead Watches was founded by Tom Anstead, a Navy Veteran and a man with a clear passion for watches that are to be owned, worn and enjoyed by everyone. Going from 15300 to 15400 - Regrets?
Anybody here owns 15300 and replaced it with 15400? Do you regret the decision?Just want to hear some opinion before I take the plunge :) I enjoy the 15300 very much but have a chance to get the blue 15400.
Just for fun
If you had the possibility, financial and relation wise, as Patek does it but in very rare occasions, and only for serious PP collectors who have invested quite a lot on the brand already, to have a unique Patek made out for you, either changes in an existing model or something totally new, what would you ask for?For me very simple, a 5712P obviously, and with the kind of blue dial as in the 5711P, that would be a stunning watch...
New serial release date?
I don't recall when Panerai releases the new model year serials? This year is R serial and I assume next year is S, but couldn't remember if they release toward end of this year or beginning of next year? I'm looking to possibly pick up a BNIB 233 R serial (now comes with croc strap and production number down to 800 I think?). I assume 25% off is good for one with Euro papers? Also heard rumors that the 233 could go away and be replaced? Not sure if anyone has an update on that statement?Any advice/experience is greatly appreciated.Thanks.
