How Professional Photographers Retouch Watch Pictures: Rolex Daytona
Most people don't pay much attention to product photography. When we see advertisements that feature "things" we sort of take them for granted. Everything that is professionally photographed these days is also professionally processed using image editing software. watches-dealer takes a lot of watch pictures so we know some of the challenges and cheats that the pros use when they have a lot of tools at their disposal. One thing you may not know is that a lot of the time watches sent to pro photographers don't even have a crystal installed. Here is an interesting video that shows a time lapse process of a Rolex Daytona watch image being transformed into the beautiful type of image millions upon millions of people will see and admire. In this video, photographer Andreas J?rg shows us just how much skill and attention to detail is required to bring an already fantastic platinum Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona photo to perfection. It's unfortunate that this video omits the 1.5-hou
The Ferrari watch is available with a case
The Ferrari watch is available with a case, sculptured in stainless steel. Its front side is fitted with a sapphire crystal. The case embraces a black or silver guilloche dial. In addition to the vertical oversized date window at 9 o'clock, it is equipped with the small seconds sub-dial, positioned at 3 o'clock.
Seconds hand set at 12 o'clock or sweep?
Breitling Chronograph owners....I just recently purchased my first automatic chronograph, a Hamilton Khaki with a Valjoux 7753 movement. My question is this... For the longevity of the movement; should I (a) leave the second hand fixed at the 12 o'clock position or (b) set the second hand to sweep around. I know that with quartz movement chronographs, setting the second hand at 12 will prolong the battery. Thank you in advance for your insight!
Is this watch real?
Anyone Good with Omegas can tell me if this watch is real? My Friend...err an acquaintance of mine is selling this watch, claims it is real but I am not to sure. The things that bother me is the little green ball on 8 (the ones that glow in the dark) fell off and now sits between 10 and 11....seems odd for a $5,000 watchAlso the watch is a Speedmaster but the Bracelet reads Seamaster ProfessionalThoughts?
Crystal ball speculations !!
So the more believable rumor is that Rolex under estimated this year's demand (based on previous year sales) which lead to the shortage we live in now and that lead some borders to hord a lot of the daughters after modelsUp until a few months ago the LV, BLNR and other SS models were available (except the Daytona C)With the beginning of the new year and with supply coming to the market (hopefully) that should bring things back to stabilityThe question is........People like myself who have a deposit down on a watch (lv in my case) when/If supply is back, is it smart to buy right away at full MSRP? Or wait and see? Risking not being able to get the same watch again vs waiting and getting it at a discount? My crystal ball is at the shop, anyone's crystal ball working?
