Knights of Gold: Roger Dubuis Excalibur Roundtable
With another season of HBO’s medieval fantasy drama “Game of Thrones” currently airing, it seems an appropriate time to revisit a timepiece from Roger Dubuis‘s flagship Excalibur collection, the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Round Table, a limited-edition model distinguished by its 12 sculptural “knights” stationed at each hour marker.Introduced at SIHH 2013 in Geneva, the watch depicts a scene from the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, the inspiration for the Excalibur family. Its colorful dial, whose design comes from a reproduction of the Arthurian Round Table made for King Henry VIII and placed in the Grand Hall of his castle in Winchester, is made of grand feu enamel. Arranged in a circle around the “table,” replacing each of the traditional hour markers, are 12 three-dimensional knight figures, cast in gold, with their fine details carved by hand, each only 7 mm tall (as in, small enough to fit under a shirt cuff).
Talking Watches: With Alan Maleh
Alan Maleh is a collector. He's a collector of art, of furniture, of classic automobiles, and of watches. He's also the founder and publisher of an upstart magazine called Man of the World. Hot on the heels of the release of its seventh issue, Maleh's brainchild has become one of the most interesting, creative, and talked about publications in the world for its unrelenting looks at craftsman and artists doing things the old-fashioned way, coupled with incredible original and archival photography. Maleh and his magazine are both particular and unabashed in their focus, and today I am proud to present you with an inside look at this taste-maker's personal wristwatch collection. This is Talking Watches with Man of the World founder Alan Maleh. 1 OF 20 Alan is a serious watch lover. He's been buying great vintage pieces for over two decades, and timepieces have played a large part in each issue of Man of the World published thus far. But, he's a differ
bezel and bracelet
i recently bought my AP ROC s/s and experienced getting quite a few scratches on the bracelet and bezel during a night out..is it possible to remove these scratches? how so? some say polishing, some say buffing.. what is the best way to put it back to original? the scratches bother me as i love this piece.. once i fix em, i promise to use it on occasions I'm sure it won't get scratches.. i'll be extra careful..

Question about the GMT and Diver bezels
Please bear with me, I've never owned a watch with a rotating bezel before.I've searched and read a number of threads about loose bezels, wobbly bezels, bezels that pop off easily, bezels that are misaligned, bezels that spin too easily and bezels with play in them. So, let me be clear on what I have noticed with my new Seamaster GMT. First, here is what seems to be right with the bezel:It does not want to pop off; It's not misaligned; It's not loose nor does it spin easily; It clicks sharply as it is rotated; It does not wobble; It does not seem to want to lift up or pull away from the case easily; It seems to fit tightly on the case;It seems perfect except as noted below. So, here's what I've discovered. With the 24:00 hr bezel marker set exactly at 12 o'clock and holding the case in my left hand, if I place the tip of my right index finger at the 24:00 hr marker and tip of my right thumb at the 12:00 hr marker and apply pressure fore and aft, the bezel moves very, very slightly fore and
