Watch Insider: Tissot Offers Automatic 80-Hour Movements at Affordable Prices
At first glance, Tissot’s Powermatic 80 automatic caliber appears to be just another ETA movement. But as I reveal in this article from my blog, Watch-Insider, that impression is way off the mark. Much like Swatch’s new Sistem 51 caliber, this one represents another quiet watchmaking revolution.Tissot has been working hand in hand with ETA (both are owned by the Swatch Group) on the research and development of this recently introduced automatic caliber. Together, they strove to push the limits in terms of precision, power and, essentially, giving time a new status. The Tissot Powermatic 80 Automatic caliber not only demonstrates great precision but also has 80 hours of power reserve. Most standard watches usually have a mainspring barrel that lasts 36 to 48 hours before needing to be wound up again. However, with a new construction concept that integrates a new spring barrel, Tissot and ETA were able to provide this movement with a greater power reserve, allowing the watch

I saw a seamaster professional auto chronometer today for $1900. Has anyone had problems with this watch, and what is the difference between an eta movement and the movement in the omega. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
5726white or black?
Nope, not asking since that decision has been made, but it's one I looked up and struggled with for a few years so figured I'd write something about it in case someone else searches the topic like I did.Over the course of a few years, I'd always try on the 5726 when visiting my local AD. Usually wasn't in a position to buy but always said I'll be buying one of these at some point. I'd love whichever version they had (usually not both at same time) C white or black. I'd pore over pictures online debating which one I'd buykind of silly since I had no clear plan or path to actually doing it, but it was fun to do. So I get to the point where I am ready to make the move and restart the debate in my head in earnest. Google imaging the watch, reading any reviews available, etc etc. What other watches do I want? If I go white here, I probably would not eventually go for a white 5711 (yeah, I'm in minority but I may prefer it over blue)but white would be a good compliment to this, or that, e

Can a modern Rolex handle golfing semi regularly?Bonus question: How about tennis?Tiger Woods and Roger Federer put their rolexes on after the match. Just my observation. Thanks
White ss skyd, pull the trigger?
Walked in to see if they had a WG sub, but they just got this in. Should i pull the trigger because of limited qty...or pass? I like it, but not sure if its a keeper.Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
