Pairs Well With: Max Bill by Junghans
For this edition of Pairs Well With we chose an iconic Max Bill hand-wound by Junghans. As one of, if not the, definitive Bauhaus watch, it is defined by its legibility and clean form. Thin black lines mark the perimeter of the watch and bring the eye outward to the minute markings and inward to hours. Nothing is fussy and nothing is unnecessary. Originally produced in the 1960's and later reintroduced, it is clearly a timeless design that has informed the look and feel of many generations of watches.? The goal of the pairing was to find articles of clothing that are similarly to the point, classic, purposeful and can be worn in both casual and work settings.Max Bill Watch with a 34mm polished steel case, 17-Jewel hand-wound movement with Incabloc protection and a tan calfskin strap. The real question is...
Is it safe to workout while wearing your Royal Oak?I guess the answer is YES
Omega DeVille as a dress watch choice?
What do you guys think of the current model DeVille as a dress watch choice, #4631.31.31? It has the Co-axial movement of course, but doesn't seem to get much discussion on any of the forums. So let me ask: do you think it's a good choice, or would you rather have a two-tone Rolex Datejust, or perhaps the Zenith Class Elite, maybe the new Girard Perregaux Vintage 1966, or perhaps one of the Blancpain Villeret dress line which has a similar price point to the Omega. Which way would you go? Do you think the DeVille is just as good as some of the others I mentioned? Interested in your thoughts, thank you.
Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Minute Repeater
Dear all, I am writing this in the Patek forum as some of you may already know from previous discussions (and thanks to you, I have made some happy choices), I almost only purchase Pateks. So, I came across by chance while searching for a 5110 (as you can read from my previous post), a very nice Jaeger rose gold reverso minute repeater. I sold my last rose gold grand reverso 8 days power reserve a while back as it was too big and chunky. This minute repeater is smaller, fits nicely on a standard wrist and wraps around it perfectly. My question is, I am not 100% sure of a rectangle watch anymore but I must say that this one is exceptionally nice. It is a minute repeater! And it is being offered at a price of a brand new 5711! So, my rational side is telling me that this is an offer of a lifetime to get a minute repeater, my realistic side tells me, this is a very very difficult watch to offload in the future. Could I please have your thoughts on this?Thank you.Have a good weekend to all
