Alain Silberstein Watches took active part in the quartz boom
It is quite surprising to know that it introduced a hands free smoking ring back then which was an instant hit. Today this company deals mainly in computers and other electronic gadgets. It started its watch expedition way back in the 70's. They were a major manufacturer of quartz watches during those days. That is to say that Alain Silberstein Watches took active part in the quartz boom and were quite successful in doing so.
Introducing: Only Watch: GP Announces Special Vintage 1945
Girard-Perregaux has just announced its contribution to the Only Watch auction – held once every two years to benefit research into better treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – and it's a doozy: a Vintage 1945 XXL Large Date and Moon Phases wristwatch with a blue "polycrystalline" transparent dial. The case is titanium (a first for this model). It's an impressive visual effect – it gives the moon a feeling of floating in the evening sky, and it's also a shout-out to the blue Only Watch logo, and the transparency takes a watch that's already pretty high up in the eye-candy rankings and makes it really zoom. You can read all about Only Watch right here.
New AP ROO
And finally, one that's not diamond encrusted...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The AP Diver, Setting the date and the movement.
Just gotten what is my first AP last week, and it's this SS Diver. My dealer advised to set the quick date after 6pm, but according to the manual it says between 1am C 6pm. To avoid any contradiction, which should be the right way to do it?Coming from the Rolexes, I've never had the need to worry about such stuffs. What are the important things to lookout for with this AP movement to avoid any unnecessary harm?
