Around 8 years ago I first saw the green Submariner. I know that green is Rolex's brand color, but I thought the watch was somewhat of a joke. It never appealed to me at all. It never appealed to anyone I knew. If anything, a couple of my friends made fun of the watch, on their own volition, without any prompting.About 7 years later, with supply low, and then demand going high, so many people, including myself, began to appreciate the appeal of the watch. I was seriously considering cutting the Swatch, and my minor connections in my metropolitan area allowed for this. First Rolex and First Post!
I've been lurking this forum for SEVERAL years but never really participated in any discussions since I was young, broke and in college. I remember reading JJ's and everyone else's posts and admiring everyone's passion about these watches; it made me feel at ease that I wasn't the only one obsessed with something most people would consider a status symbol.
