Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz
Hello all,On checking the forum I can honestly say how impressed I am with the feedback to date.I have just been given an Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz (mens).I believe the watch is from 1980s. I can honestly say I know little about it except it is a two tone 18k gold plated/steel watch with a gold face with dots as hour markers and date.Two things, the watch has what appears to be a slight nick nearby the crown on the case nearby the 3 o'clock marker. Can the stainless steel case be fixed or is this normal ?Also, the luminous minute hand has slight discolouration compared to the hour hand. Can this also be resolve ?I live in Scotland, if so could anyone recommend a good repair shop.Does anyone have a rough value for one in good condition for the age.I can find very little information and have no paperwork.Even the omega website has very little to go on.Thank you for any help and assistance, it will be most gratefully received.PS I can upload a photo if required. Introducing the all new 729 titano
So.... my wife and are on vacation and Florence is the last stop. Of course, we HAVE to stop into the Panerai boutique to see what's what.What do you all think? Just released last week and not on the web site as of yet . The 729 is a 45 45mm titanium duo model.Some may not be fans of the new case size or the movement, but it feels like velvet on the wrist. Should I? The delimea is that one must go and it would have to be the D blue or the Sd43. I need to hang on to one Rolex though . . Price is 10700 e ....Pictured next to my 690. I'm so sorry but I didn't get the defence number but the reference with the silver dial is 13500 E with a rise gold movement . Again new in the last week. Blemish on new Rolex Day-Date
Hello,I bought a new Rolex 118238 Day-Date on eBay from a known and trusted seller 10 days ago. Today I discovered two blemishes on the dial, one is a small hair stuck inside the paint on the word Swiss at 6 o'clock. The other blemish is on the minute track at 5 o'clock where there is a tiny glob of paint on the track marking it fatter than the rest.I contacted Rolex service center, and they said it would have to be send to them for repair, with a 3-4 month wait.At this point I would rather just return the watch, would other people on this thread do the same, or different?Thank you.
