IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “Le Petit Prince” (Updated With Live Photos)
IWC Schaffhausen is focusing on its iconic Pilots’ Watch collections at this year’s SIHH watch salon in Geneva, and among the many new timepieces the brand is launching for 2016 is yet another ticking tribute to the storied poet/author/aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupry: the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “Le Petit Prince.”Like its predecessors, which have included a chronograph and a perpetual calendar, the new watch is a limited edition (just 250 pieces worldwide) and features a striking blue dial as well as visual references to the title character in Saint-Exupry’s most famous work, Le Petit Prince, or The Little Prince. The Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “Le Petit Prince” (Ref. IW50271), in an 18k rose gold case measuring 46 mm in diameter and 15.5 mm thick, is the first IWC Pilot’s Watch equipped with an annual calendar complication which requires one correction per year, to accommodate for the
Superocean heritage - not dive ISO cert?
Hi Guys, La Swiss in my local mall is moving - and is offering crazy crazy discounts on their watches.... including their brietlingshow crushed was i when i found out the almost 5k watch for 2k wasn't ISO certified for diving...(according to the sales woman & her resource she checked)Why oh why would they make a super ocean, even if it is heritage and not go that extra little step??now i don't know what I'm hoping for posting this - you guys tell me she's wrong, and i cry, or you tell me she's right, and i cry that I'm missing such a nice watch (IMHO)If she's right is there a logic to this I'm missing?
speedy pro subdials look greenish?
hi, a buddy of mine is considering getting the speedy pro cal.1861. i just looked at omega's web site - and it looks like the subdials are green. have they changed the dial recently on this classic?
AD discounts
I hear/read post of WISes getting discounts for Omegas. I've tried at BB but never received one. Even though I purchased my Rolexes there. Being a good customer apparently means squat. There are WIS who say that buying an Omega Seamaster at retail--$2,300-- isn't the way to go. That there are many much cheaper ones out there. My dilemma. I've been hankering for an SMP, I miss my old one and may one to buy it back. Where the heck can fully warranteed, new, cheaper Seamasters (1120 movement, like my old one below below but with the newer bracelet) be found? FYI--I've been on other forums and also asked.Thank you Omegamaniacs
New 5980R bracelet on a 5712R?
This may seem like a stupid question but before I contact my AD I was curious if anyone knows if PP will sell just the solid gold bracelet for the newly released 5980R and if so would it fit on a 5712R. The banking on a gold bracelet 5712R but we got an awesome 5980R instead. Anywho, just curious. I know the case on the '80 is bigger then the '12 not sure about the lugs tho. Thanks!
