Which AP is this?
Hi guys,I'm trying to find this (see pic) vintage AP, which was my dad's favourite watch. The watch was stolen when he passed away. Long story :(Does anyone know what AP is this? Model name/code?I know - even if i have the model name, it wouldn't be so easy to find the watch thats up for sale anyways... But at least if i have the name, would make my search easier :)Thanks!
AP Help
Hi Everyone, i'm new to this forum and wanted to log on to ask some Q's about a AP Panda. I currently wear a Panerai Pam 312 & i'm looking to get a AP but i'm not sure if it'll fit me.So i tried on the AP Diver & the 44mm ROO (both with the rubber band) and they fit me good, however the panda is not a buckle strap so it fits very awkwardly. Does anyone know if i can change the band on it to make it a buckle type band? I know i can get the rubber band on the Diver to fit the Panda, but what if i want a leather band? Does AP sell any buckle leather bands that'll fit the Panda, and does anyone else with a small wrist have trouble with these no buckle bands? Thanks for the help in advance guys. Here are some photos of the watches on my wrist, i think the Diver looks the best (and i believe the diver and panda are the same size).
Setting moonphase indicators before the internet
I enjoy looking up the exact phase of the moon on the Patek website to set my 5712 when I put in in rotation. At the risk of sounding stupid - duh, they looked at the moon, dummy - how did these things get set precisely before the internet ? Perhaps published in the newspapers ?
so do you remember to wind?
all you manual guys? im leaning towards making the 372/422/423 my next purchase. (one of them). would be my first manual and pam. so say with the 372 and no power reserve, do you just wind it every day? all the time? when you remember? also, is it like most autos. 35-40 turns to full wind?thanks
