Patek Philippe World Time
Hello,When countries adjust their timezones, as Russia did relatively recently, does Patek Philippe offer owners an opportunity to update their World Time dials to reflect this?If anyone has done so in the past, what is the cost of such an update, please? Thanks
PP5164 date display
Anyone with insight knowledge of how the date display on PP5164 Travel Time work? The date changes along the Local or Home time zone? Do you have any difficulties with the date if the two time zones is on different date? For example the Local date is 7 June 2015, but the Home time is 6 June because it is behind the local zone. Please share your thoughts. Thank you and very much appreciate.By the way I just got new PP 5164. It a great watch and the legibility is stunning.
Patek sighting in the movie"Non-Stop"!!
Hello all! Sorry if someone has already caught this and posted about it......Last night I took my son to see the new Liam Neeson movie, Non-Stop. Overall, it was a pretty decent movie and worth watching - if you enjoy those types of action flicks. Nevertheless, in one scene the pilot of the plane needed to check his watch for the time. As he turned his wrist, you could clearly see that it was a complicated Patek Philippe of some sort. Unfortunately it was only visible for about a second, but it was exciting to see a PP up on the big screen! And boy did it look good! This got me wondering if Patek is loosening up the purse strings a bit and paying for product placement opportunities more than they used to? Regardless, the sighting turned the movie from good to great in my book!
How much do replacement hands effect value?
I picked up a T serial 16710 and it was supposed to be original dial and hands. The only issue is that when I received it, the dial does not light up but the hands do. I think it was an honest mistake by the seller as he's been great to deal with. What I'm trying to figure out is how much this will impact the value of the watch if I go to flip it later.
