Hands-On: With The Harry Winston Midnight Collection (Live Photos, Specs, Official Pricing)
Harry Winston has been hard at work developing their horological offerings.? Sure, they've always produced some truly spectacular high-end watches with their Opus line and bevy of mega-tourbillons, but their more everyday watches have long played second fiddle.? Though, one has to remember that while the likes of its competitors - AP, VC, PP, etc - have been making watches for, well, a long, long time, Winston has only been in watch game for only about 20 years.? Considering this, what they've accomplished is more than impressive. 2 OF 38 The Harry Winston Midnight Big Date in Rose Gold Consider the two watches we are showing you here.? Both part of the elegant Midnight collection, they are really well executed, interesting timepieces that on their own, are pretty compelling.? Directly above, you see the Midnight Big Date in rose gold.? The Big Date is 42mm and features a great circular guilloch pattern on the dial, with porthole big date at 6 o'clock.? 3 OF
PO Liquidmetal I and II
I was looking for a tough daily beater to give my DJII a break. I couldn't decide between the Rolex Submariner Ceramic and Omega Planet Ocean. I like the Sub because of the new ceramic bezel and liked the PO for it's modern style. Flew to the US to visit my AD but was told that the PO was out of stock. Tried on the Sub-C but it felt small when compared to my DJII. So it looks like I was going home empty handed until my AD brought out a box containing the PO LM. Right off the bat, my AD offers me the PO LM for the same price as the PO so I do not have to wait 8 weeks for the PO. My lucky day! The best of both worlds. A ceramic/liquidmetal bezel and the contemporary styling of the PO. The deal was too good to pass up so I asked if I could buy 2. Unfortunately my AD had already sold 5 and only had 1 left but a quick phone call to Omega North America President and a 2nd PO LM was on its way to my AD. 3 days and almost $8,000 later I have 2 PO LMs in my hands. Loving the watch. I'm in a pro
Opinions on how this Sub C looks
I tried on my buddy's Sub C last week and was wondering if everyone felt the same as I did. I just am not thrilled with how it looks on me. Despite being impressive, I think for my wrist I much prefer the look of the older style case. I guess this rules out a SD43 Thoughts?
BLNR stocking AD's in US??
Shot in the dark, I know. Sold my BLNR a while back and would like to have another. I see that second hand market is over retail at this point and, while I always respect the hustle of the gray market dealers, I think I would prefer to just find one in stock and pay retail. I put my name down at a local AD who was expecting to get a few in the next week or two but thought I'd see if anyone knows of a local (to them) AD with a BLNR in stock?
