Watches NEWS
Watch Experts Network: ‘#TBT Fortis Marinemaster 8001 Chronograph’
Basel prognostications begin as early as January and start in earnest in February. One of the most discussed brands, of course, is Rolex. A quick browse of Rolex forums brings out multitudes of hypotheses about what the giant will release at the show and, then, a month or so later, the actual news is almost universally met with disappointment. While some of the hoped-for watches are plausible, I've seen some fairly wild ones alongside creative photoshopped images. One imaginative idea that I remember distinctly was of a Submariner chronograph or, perhaps, a Daytona diver. In actuality, the idea is not so far-fetched as there are plenty of diving chronographs and why wouldn't Rolex, who is apt in making both styles of watch, wander down that conjoined path? Well, who knows the answer to that question, but I do at least come with a semi-plausible solution. That solution, readers, is the subject of today's #TBT and comes in the form of the surprising, yet highly credible Fortis Marinemast
Quick question...
How do you manually wind your RO 15400? Clockwise, counter clockwise, or either way? Thanks
Question: DSOTM chipping/cracking/scratching
I'm in Chicago for the weekend and I went to the nice omega boutique on the magnificent mile. I checked out the Dark Side in person, and it looked great. Anyway, I was wondering if there have been many long term reviews or issues with chips or cracking. Also, since it's ceramic, will it keep that brand new shine indefinitely? Any owners or general experience would be appreciated. ThxSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking for a Second Patek.....
Hello All, I am now in the market for a 2nd Patek. My purchase of a 5035 left me with a good chunk of money left over..... so I have decided to buy a 2nd Patek with these funds! You see - unlike some people who think the 5035 is a lesser watch than the 5146 - I actually choose the 5035 for the following reasons:- 1) the size is perfect - 37mm 2) the 24 hour dial 3) the history of the 5035 being the first Annual Calendar 4) the investment potential of the 5035 Vs the 5146 5) the fact it is no longer in production. At the end of the day the big choice was either the 5035, 3940 or the 5140. As they were all similar in size the fact the 5035 was 37mm had no bearing on the decision. I now am considering a 5107, 5127, 5196, 5119, 5296.
Looking To Buy Rolex 228235 Olive Dial. Ad Or Grey?
Had my eye on this watch for awhile. Just about ready to purchase, just doing some homework. This would be my first watch ever!! Should i go with an AD or grey market? What AD would you recommend if you think AD, what grey market seller would you recommend for Grey market? Located in NJ.
