PP Aquanaut 5167R - Pic Heavy!
I finally had a chance to snap a few photos of my 5167R, and thought I'd share them The dial takes on a completely different character in the sun, really loving it! I have an extra long weekend and I can't wait to enjoy it with the 5167R.Hope you enjoy.Love the deployant clasp on the 5167!What more can I say about the spectacular 324 movement?I didn't think the 5167R can get any better, but it does! In the sun!
Steel bracelet recommendation...
Hi all, and happy new year.I want to replace my 233 strap with a steel band, after trying a bunch of leather straps I am realizing that I prefer the feel of steel band, probably from wearing a Rolex for so many years... Any recommendation on well made/ high quality steel band for Panerai?Much appreciated.Cheers.
Mailman came today.....
To be continued..... :-)
14060 just back from Rolex NY
A few years ago I posted a story about a 14060 Submariner that I had bought for my father for his 60th birthday in 2002. My father passed away tragically in 2015 and I received the watch back. My father had not done a thing to the watch in 13 years. I have had it ever since and only wore it sparingly. I knew it needed a service and the hands had luminous material flaking off.I sent the watch to Rolex via Registered mail (took a week from MA to NY) right before the holidays, and it sat for a week while Rolex was closed for the holidays. I had called Rolex to check on the status and to ask for another link etc. I was told that they were behind and plan on about 4 weeks.Tuesday I received a call from Rolex that the watch was ready and would ship overnight on Wednesday for Thursday delivery. I was thrilled. The watch arrived a few minutes ago from Fedex....and today happens to be my father's birthday, so it was exactly 16 years ago to the day that I presented the Submariner to him.Th
