Thinking of selling new Planet Ocean
I got the PO a week ago to be my daily wearer, but I think I'm turning out to be a Rolex Guy. It's the 42mm one with black bezel and SS bracelet. New condition, bought from an AD. It actually keeps much better time than my Rolex, at less than +1 second per day. Don't know what to price it at though. Not crazy about ebay, where do you guys post? If it doesn't sell, I'll probably just get an orange bezel for it to differentiate it more from by Sub and just keep it, but I would rather put it towards another rollie at the moment.
Patek 5711/1A-001
My current collection is patek 5146p , patek 5726/1A-001 , patek 5712/1A-001,Patek 5164A-001 , rolex submariner 1166610LNi need some advise , as I am thinking of adding the 5711/1A 010 ( blue dial ) , despite having the 5712/1a , does this make sense , having both the 5712 & the 5711 .. , your thoughts please
Thoughts on the 5711 vs the 5712
It's been only a few days, but here are some initial thoughts on my new 5711/1a versus the 5712/1a, which I used to own. First, IMHO, it is a WIN either way. Wrist presence:Both have great wrist presence despite their thin case. Dial:I think the 5711 feels more grand because there is more uninterrupted space on the magical blue dial. I think the 5712/1a dial is more interesting with the complications and the asymmetry (which I know some do not like, but I certainly did and still do). I also like the hints of red on the 5712/1a dial. WR:With the higher WR on the 5711, I feel a little more secure, but this largely is irrelevant since I probably won't use this in a pool/ocean anyway - but it's nice to know I can if needed. The backside:I love the 240 movement and the micro rotor. From an aesthetic standpoint, I think the 5712 wins here, but the 324 is no slouch and is also easy on the eyes. And, I feel good with the 324 on this since I have a 240 movement in another watch, so a little div
Ref. 5235G Regulator - Prices and Stats.
Ref. 5235G first appeared at auction in October 2014 that watch fetched $68,250 which is hammer plus premiums. Since then 5 more watches have made their way to auction for a total of 6 watches so far. None were repeats, all unique watches (not the same movement/case numbers) with one of the 6 not selling, reserve basically was not met (not enough interest)The average selling price (including buyers premiums) for the six watches was $59K. That's the price buyers had to pay to take the watch home, however if you are a seller and sold your watch at auction you would have taken home $45K only (after deducting the 25% buyers premiums and the listing fees).patekonomics (coming soon, looking for web developers)until then follow patekonomics on Instagram.
18 Days!! PAM 270 or PAM 233?
Showing the subtle differences of the PAM 270 vs PAM 233. Notice the bigger font size of the 12 & 6 on the PAM 233. The longer hour markers on the PAM 233. The lesser calibration on the PAM 270 power reserve. The larger power reserve circle indicator on the PAM 233. The thicker minute hand of the PAM 270. And of course the more obvious differences, the AM/PM indicator differences and the and the absence of the 9 on the PAM 233.Which dial do you like better?
