Watches NEWS
Picture thread. AP spotting
There is a long ongoing photo thread on the general Rolex forum with celebrities or other famous/well known people wearing Audemars Piguet so I thought it was time for that thread over here as well! :-)Kicking it off with a photo I just saw over at paneristi, one of the regulars is a photographer and this is from a magazine cover shoot with Dr Sanjay Gupta. The good doctor obviously has great taste as he is wearing a Panda. [Photo cred: Brad Trent, on the left in the photo]
Review AP ROO 44 RG
I hate it and have sold it..I've had the watch for a couple weeks points:- nothing feels like this on the wrist, NOTHING! How they managed to make such an imposing watch so comfortable is nothing short of incredible. It's more comfortable that my DSSD on bracelet. -Watch is dead on accurate, +/-1 sec, matched only by my DD-Design is work of art, the bevels, shapes, edges, and finishing are perfect, the tang buckle is satisfying to lock into place and the etched AP logo is a wink to remind this subtle, yet classy tasteful excess. -Dial is legible and stays true to the classic. Anyone of these things could be said about many watches, any combination could be said about fewer, and to have all in one watch is truly to be experienced. The one intangible, is the history of AP and knowing the care they take of their customers (as many here attest to, and I'm sure if I ever need it, i won't have a worry). This is my favorite watch in the collection.
Another boring this or that thread but I need help!
Hi guys, here is my dilema I own a 26470OR and love it. But freaked out about wearing it because of fragile bezel, I already have a tiny scar on it and I cannt sleep because of my OCD!! Lol I have an opportunity to swap straight for the 44mm RG 26400RO which with the ceramic bezel I dont have to worry as much. I own a FC 44 as well and love it, so I figured I would keep my 42 and not use it as much. But now that this opportunity popped up my brain is racing!!!! 😬😬😬What would you guys do!!??Here is a pic of my 42And one of the 44 that I grabbed from the internet (please give credit to I believe its Anil Arjandas he has some awesome watches)All suggestions are good suggestions please help a buddy out, I cant concentrate at work!!' Lol I love both by the way!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Loose Hands? 3120 movement
Could this be a serious issue? When I set my AP diver slightly moving the minutes hand the second hand moves. My watch is running about 10+ a day. Should I worry much about this and could it worsen over time?
GMT 16710 and the "old" Rolex sport watches....
Hi,As discussed many times before, the prices on pieces like 16710 are high at the moment. Do you think that this is due to some kind of hype or is this a situation that we will see long term? The pieces that are more semi vintage like 16610 and 16710, what do you think will happen then the new generation of gmt's will be presented? Will the 116710 be the new 16710...?Speculations, but what do you think?
