Maitres du Temps Chapter Two Watch: The Triple Date
The second watch from the still new Maitres du Temps watch brand is the Chapter Two (which of course has followed the Chapter One). The term "triple date" comes from the fact that the calendar features, 1) the day, 2) date,? and 3) month. Interestingly enough, the watch went from ultra complex, to something more simple and live-with-able' on a daily basis. While the Chapter One is a beautiful and decadent masterpiece of form and complexity, the Chapter Two is more akin to a nice looking watch that won't intimidate people seeing you wear it as much - as I have always felt the Chapter One is more like a watch made for royalty. The same basic dimensions for the case are used, but somehow the look is totally different. A fact that really has to do with the dial looking different more direct on function, and not as showy with the complications. See my discussion of the Maitres du Temps Chapter One watch here, which I did enjoy a great deal. The Chapter One/Two watch cases are still some o
Welcome To A Pinnacle Of Taste And Technology. May I Please Present You With: The Dogs Playing Poker Gold Watch
You've waited for this. The moment has come when you can truly combine your elevated sense of artistic taste and deep appreciation for mechanical prowess, all combining together in a potent mix to imbibe your thirst for luxury. Oh yes, the painting you know and love; the one that you have posters of in several rooms in your house. Perhaps laminated for table settings, and transposed on to a welcome mat in front on your abode. The classic, dare I say legendary, painting that is Cassius Marcellus Coolidge's "A Bold Bluff," can now be worn on your wrist.Watch maker Anderson Geneve takes its Montre A Tact watch line to base the Montre A Tact Poker models. In addition to being a poker conversation piece, it also offers some special functionality for poker players. A sapphire crystal covered cutout around the side of the watch located between the lugs at the bottom of the watch reveals the rotating disc that tells the time. This allows the wearer to check the time without having to move thei
Another discontinued model?
Hi all, after the ceramic diver being discontinued another stunning AP seems to not be produced anymore as I don't find it on their website, I am talking about the full RG skeleton but the non date model, there are 2 RG skeleton models on the AP website, the full RG with date, and the non date but on strap, I suppose that you can buy the bracelet separately, I wanted to know was it always like that or is this new?Of course since with AP it's always possible, at least as I understand, to choose strap or bracelet which is something I think all high end brands should allow instead of making you choose without being able to swap, and this is a HUGE positive aspect for me about AP On Chrono 24 there is a non date full RG on sale, did the seller buy it on strap and add the RG bracelet later or is it a model that AP used to produce but stopped like for the divers?AS far as I can tell from the pics it's exactly the same dial as the non date on strap. Here's pics of the 3, the first one being ab
AP Limited Edition List
Hi everyone. Happy new year to all. May you have a wonderful and safe night.I just wanted to suggest that maybe we could create a post with a complete list of all the limited edition AP watches already released. It might help potential collectors to know whats out there, what they might be missing etc.For example, I did not know Bill clinton has an LE EOT.It would be fun to see them all together with each their related total release number. Again, I hope you all have a good night and a wonderful 2013!
5235 as a tool watch
I took John Mayer's advice on his Talking Watches segment on Hodinkee when he said, I clean up dog poop in a Patek. Now who said these pieces were only for formal settings?
