Angular Momentum 9 Dragons Collection Watches
You can disagree with me but I think that watches containing hand-painted dials are pretty cool. Especially when the dials depict actually masculine things like dragons. Most of these watches seem to be of flowers, fairies, or family portraits. I can dig these. Not on a daily basis, but I can dig these pretty well.Angular Momentum is no stranger to hand-painted enamel dials. I am pretty sure that such is their current bread-and-butter. This new set called the 9 Dragons Collection has nine different watches each with a unique style of dragon on the dials. Each dial is done in a "Verre Eglomise" miniature painting, with a small opening cut into them offering a view to a time disc. Telling the time in this way is not super precise, but offers a surprisingly clear and simple way of showing the time with a disc moving along a time-indicating needle. My favorite part of the collection is that the watches depict different types of dragon styles. There are Asiatic, European, and modern fantasy
pressure testing?
About to go on a trip, and was planning on wearing my 15202. Not planning on diving or anything like that, but was wondering if there's any reason taking it to a local independent for a pressure test would be an issue.
Another SD43 dilemma
Ok guys! I got offered a SD43 (for the second time) by my AD after turning the first one downI'm very loyal to my subC but with all the glowing reviews of the SD43 I'm temptedI have large wrists (7.6 ). Where my deepsea Blue is perfect for me! My sibC has a sentimental value I don't know what to do! Should I pass, again, on a great timepiece or Buy and flip?
My wife wants to know......
How many watches do I need?My father gave me my first Rolex (Gold DD36mm) when I graduated from college. He was a New Orleans homicide detective and my mother was a school teacher. I grew up the oldest of four children, so as you can imagine we didn't have much growing up. My parents always did without so that they could put us through private schools. Both of my parents were very big on education.I will never forget when my father pulled me to the side at my graduation party and handed me the box. When I opened it, I was totally blown away. He was very old school and believed every successful man should have a nice watch, pen and a handkerchief in his pocket at all times.I wore the DD for years as my every day watch, but saw the DJ36mm white dial with Roman numerals one day at the local AD. I loved the Roman numerals so I immediately purchased it. I began wearing it as my daily watch and would pull out the DD for special occasions. Being very happy with both watches, I never
HELP Buying first Rolex in London/UK!?
hi guysi have been following these forums for a long time trying to decide what watch to buy over the next 3 months and have decided it will be a Datejust with a fluted bezel. But i am still a watch beginner and only own a Rado, DW and few other basic watches but have been an admirer of Rolex DJ and Omega Speedmast/Seamaster for a long time. Being I'm in the UK and this site seems very heavily focused on USA seller and AD's and I just don't know where i can buy the watch?I have been looking at the ads from AD's on this forum but not sure if i can trust them as i don't want to buy a fake and especially when shipping abroad. So ideally i need a recommendation for UK/London sellers who are reasonably priced for a used model, my budget is 3-4k GBP. Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy or should i risk online from USA? This is the type of watch, but i find this site watchfinder slightly expensive. I will be wearing this casually and at work, smooth bezels seem to be cheaper, is the f
